''Yasna'' is a Maldivian family drama web series directed by Aminath Rinaza and Ali Rasheed. It stars Ali Azim, Aishath Lahfa, Ali Shameel and Mariyam Haleem in main roles. The pilot episode of the series was released on 12 August 2022. The fifteen episodes' series narrates the story of two past lovers whose reunion is challenged by other commitments. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". The film which features Azim in a "forgettable" role did not much help to accelerate his career. This was followed by Abdul Faththaah's 5 episodes drama series '' Kaiveni'', starred opposite Mariyam Zuhura. Aishath Lahfa
Aishath Lahfa (born 21 November 1997) is a Maldivian film actress. Before pursuing a career in acting, Lahfa was an active TikTok user, which won her recognition as a performer. She made her acting debut in the web series '' Girlfriends'' (2021) and continued playing main roles in several other web series including four-part anthology crime web series ''Mazloom'' (2021–2022), family romantic dramas '' Rimsha'' (2022) and ''Yasna'' (2022). In 2023, she made her first appearance in a feature film with the horror film '' Kalhaki''. Career Before pursuing a career in acting, Lahfa was an active TikTok user, which won her recognition as a performer. Ali Shameel
Ali Shameel is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career In 1986, Shameel took part in a stage-play titled CDS-6, alongside Kashima Shakir, Mohamed Rasheed and Chilhiya Moosa Manik which was appreciated among the audience and he continues to feature in several other stage dramas. In 1992, Shameel made his career debut in Ahmed Sharmeel and Ibrahim Waheed's family drama film ''Dhon Manma'' (1992) alongside Haajara Abdul Kareem, Ibrahim Shakir and Sharmeel. The film tells the story of a step-mother who strives to create a bond with her step-kids. Mariyam Haleem is a Maldivian actress. Career 1997–2010: Initial releases with small roles Haleem made her film debut in Abdulla Sujau-directed '' Laila'' (1997) starring opposite Ali Shameel and Aishath Shiranee as depressed mother whose daughter was snatched off from her at a very young age. Fathimath Latheefa
Fathimath Latheefa is a Maldivian film actress. Career Prior to acting, Latheefa appeared in advertisements and small roles in few television drama series distributed by VTV. In 2019, she made her film debut in Ilyas Waheed's psychological thriller film ''Bavathi'' (2019), where she played the role of Zulfa, the mother hated by her daughter being accused of disrespecting her disabled husband by having an affair with another man. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes.
