Yang Hong-seok (basketball)
Yang Hong-seok (born July 2, 1997) is a South Korean basketball player. He plays for Korean Basketball League team Changwon LG Sakers and the South Korean national team. Early life Born and raised in Jeonju, Yang moved to Busan as a middle school student. He caught the attention of college recruiters after leading his high school basketball team to stellar results in various high school tournaments. As he was much taller than his peers, he played as a center and only converted into a forward in college. College career Yang chose Chung-Ang University over traditional powerhouses Yonsei University and Korea University. The unfancied Chung-Ang team managed to finish runners-up in the U-League table and were knocked out of the play-offs in the semi-final stage. Jeonju
Jeonju () is the 16th largest city in South Korea and the capital of North Jeolla Province. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. The Anyang Korea Ginseng Corporation ( ko, 안양 KGC인삼공사), or Anyang KGC, is a professional basketball club in the Korean Basketball League, based at Anyang Arena in the city of Anyang. Double-double
In basketball, a double-double is a single-game performance in which a player accumulates ten or more in two of the following five statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. The first "double" in the term refers to the two (''double'') categories and the second "double" refers to accumulating ten or more (typically ''double'' digits) in that category. Similarly, a player records a triple-double, quadruple-double, and quintuple-double when accumulating ten or more in three, four, or all five of the statistical categories, respectively. Cho Sung-min (조성민 born December 23, 1983) is a South Korean retired professional basketball player. He played for Busan KT Sonicboom and Changwon LG Sakers in the Korean Basketball League and was a member of the South Korean national team. In his prime, Cho was considered one of the league's most accurate three-point and free throw shooters, earning the nickname "Chosun Shooter" (조선의 슈터). He was the free throw percentage leader for four consecutive seasons and is only second to Moon Kyung-eun in the all-time percentage record, successfully scoring 92.3% of his free throws during the 2011–12 season. Suwon KT Sonicboom () is a professional basketball club based in Suwon, South Korea which plays in the Korean Basketball League. Their home games are played at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena. Founded in 1997, the team was initially based in Gwangju and was later relocated to Yeosu, Busan and Suwon, respectively. Heo Hoon (born 16 August 1995) is a South Korean professional basketball player. He currently plays for Suwon KT Sonicboom in the Korean Basketball League and the South Korean national team. Early life Heo enjoyed playing various sports from a young age but, due to his father's initial opposition, did not harbor dreams of becoming a professional athlete. He and his older brother spent a year and a half of their elementary school years in the United States when their father was sent for coaching training and worked as a coach at Pepperdine University. 2017 Korean Basketball League Draft
The 2017 Korean Basketball League rookie draft (Korean: 2017 KBL 국내신인선수 드래프트) was held on October 30, 2017, at the Jamsil Students' Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. Out of the 44 participants, 27 players were drafted. In September 2017, the KBL announced its confirmed list of 44 participants for the upcoming draft.
