Yang Chun-han
Yang Chun-han (); born 1 January 1997, is a Taiwanese athlete of Amis descent specialising in sprinting events. He won two medals at the 2017 Asian Championships, gold in the 200 and bronze in the 100 metres. Yang won gold in the 100 metres at the 2017 Summer Universiade. He holds the national records in both the 100 and 200 metres. Athletics (sport), Athletics at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 20 to 26 August at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center in Nanjing, China. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter a maximum of 36 athletes, 18 per each gender and 1 per each event. As hosts, China is given 2 quotas, 1 per each gender and 136 places. 68 spots per each gender was decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 540 places were divided evenly among the individual events and were decided among a single continental qualification event for each continent with the exception of the Americas in which they hosted three. 2014 Asian Junior Athletics Championships
The 2014 Asian Junior Athletics Championships was the 16th edition of the international athletics competition for Asian under-20 athletes, organised by the Asian Athletics Association and the Chinese Taipei Track & Field Association. Events were held at Taipei Municipal Stadium in Taipei, Republic of China from 12–15 June. A total of 44 events were contested, with the events being evenly split between the sexes. China narrowly beat Japan to extend its long-running undefeated streak at the competition. China had the most gold medals with twelve and also the highest tally with 24. Athletics At The 2013 Asian Youth Games
At the 2013 Asian Youth Games, the athletics events were held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province in China from 19–22 August. A total of 34 events were contested, split evenly between the sexes. The Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre was the host stadium for the athletics – this was the venue's second hosting of a multi-sport event after the 2005 National Games of China. The events attracted average crowds of 20,000 people per day to the stadium. The competition was open to any youth athletes aged fifteen or sixteen. Sprinting is running over a short distance at the top-most speed of the body in a limited period of time. Amis People
The Amis ( ami, Amis, Ami, Pangcah; ), also known as the Pangcah, are an indigenous Austronesian ethnic group native to Taiwan. They speak the Amis language (; ), an Austronesian language, and are one of the sixteen officially recognized Taiwanese indigenous peoples. The traditional territory of the Amis includes the long, narrow valley between the Central Mountains and the Coastal Mountains (Huadong Valley), the Pacific coastal plain eastern to the Coastal Mountains and the Hengchun Peninsula.
