Yan England-Girard (born 9 december 1981) is a Canadian actor, television and radio presenter, screenwriter, film producer and director of short films. From the age of eight, he was known for his role of Einstein in the youth program Watatatow during 13 years. Mont-Saint-Hilaire () is an off-island suburb of Montreal in southeastern Quebec, Canada, on the Richelieu River in the La Vallée-du-Richelieu Regional County Municipality, Regional County Municipality of La Vallée-du-Richelieu. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 18,200. The city is named after the Mont Saint-Hilaire. A significant deposit of the semi-precious mineral sodalite is located near Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Fan Club is a Quebec television series broadcast on the specialized VRAK.TV youth channel. The program launched on 28 August 2008, an artistic magazine program allowing youth to have access to their favourite celebrities for a typical day. The star usually gives a snap of his life as a celebrity and offers gifts and special favors to the winning "fan". For three seasons 2008 to 2010, the program was hosted by Yan England (who has also hosted series like ''Une grenade avec ça'' and ''Ramdam'') and Magalie Lépine-Blondeau (''R-Force''). In the 4th season in 2011, Caroline Gendron (from ''Une grenade avec ça?'') replaced Magalie Lépine-Blondeau, whereas Yan England stayed for a 4th season. The Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film is an award presented at the annual Academy Awards ceremony. The award has existed, under various names, since 1957. From 1936 until 1956 there were two separate awards, "Best Short Subject, One-reel" and "Best Short Subject, Two-reel", referring to the running time of the short: a standard Reel#Motion picture terminology, reel of film is 1000 feet, or about 11 minutes of run time. A third category "Best Short Subject, color" was used only for 1936 and 1937. From the initiation of short subject awards for 1932 until 1935 the terms were "Best Short Subject, comedy" and "Best Short Subject, novelty". Short Film
A short film is any motion picture that is short enough in running time not to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits". In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35 mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels. "Short" was an abbreviation for either term.
