Yaki-Da
Yaki-Da were a Swedish pop group consisting of singers Marie Knutsen and Linda Schönberg. They were put together by Ace of Base band member and producer Jonas "Joker" Berggren. Berggren produced their entire first album and wrote all but two of the songs appearing on it. They released their first album, ''Pride'', in 1995 and the album's lead single, "I Saw You Dancing", reached number 54 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number 11 on the Billboard Dance Charts. They were somewhat more successful in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Their second album, ''A Small Step For Love'', was released in 1998. It featured no collaborations with Jonas Berggren. The album spawned one single, entitled "I Believe". The song and album saw a very limited release in Europe and Korea. A music video, shot inside of a Korean airport (but featuring Chinese characters), was released for "I Believe". I Saw You Dancing
"I Saw You Dancing" is a song by Swedish group Yaki-Da. It was released in 1994, as the lead single from their first studio album, ''Pride'' (1995), and is written and produced by Jonas Berggren from Ace of Base. The song was a top 10 hit in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Israel, Malaysia, Norway and on the Canadian ''RPM'' Dance/Urban chart. Critical reception The song received favorable reviews from most music critics. John Bush from AllMusic said the group "pursue the same bubblegum dance-pop route" as Ace of Base on the song. Jonas Berggren
Jonas Petter Berggren (born 21 March 1967) is a Swedish musician and singer-songwriter and record producer, also known as Joker. He started writing songs when he was seven, and continues to write for the Swedish band Ace of Base, which he is a founding member of, as well as other bands. He was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. Biography Early life Jonas Petter Berggren was the first child of three siblings, his younger sisters are Linn and Jenny. Jonas was born with a cleft lip, undergoing three surgeries within his first year. He became interested in music when he was 10, after his father started teaching him to play the guitar.
