Yak Bondy
Yak Bondy (born 8 July 1962 as Jerk Bondy in Goslar, Germany) is a London-based music producer, composer and visual artist. Bondy has been professionally involved in the music industry since the 1980s. After moving from Hannover (Germany) to London in 1987 to compose the soundtrack for a documentary series, Bondy has worked with many international artists. Career highlights include being musical director and keyboard player for Lisa Stansfield's world tour, remixing M People and Annie Lennox, working with Grammy-winning A.R. Rahman, producing songs by Diane Warren and Melanie C, as well as writing and producing albums for UK stars S Club 7 and former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, resulting in dozens of Gold and Platinum awards. As a film music composer and orchestrator Bondy works with the music licensing service, Hollywood Elite Music & Media in Los Angeles. ''The Arsenio Hall Show'' is an American syndicated late-night talk show created by and starring comedian Arsenio Hall. There have been two different incarnations of ''The Arsenio Hall Show''. The original series premiered on January 3, 1989, and ran until May 27, 1994. Nineteen years after the original series ended, Hall returned for a revival. It premiered on September 9, 2013, and was cancelled after one season, with the finale airing on May 21, 2014. Both series were produced by Hall's production company, Arsenio Hall Communications. The original series was produced and distributed by Paramount Domestic Television, and taped at Stage 29 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' (''DSDS''; "Germany is looking for the Superstar") is a German reality talent show. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. The program aims to discover the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions in which viewer voting determines the winner. Voting is done through phone and SMS text voting. In July 2022, RTL announced that the show would discontinue after the conclusion of the 20th season in 2023. ''Walk of Life'' is the second and final studio album by pop singer Billie Piper, released in 2000. Piper's second album (her first released under her full name) produced three Top 30 singles in the UK – " Day & Night" (number 1), " Something Deep Inside" (number 4) and "Walk of Life" (number 25). The album itself reached number 14, the same position as her debut, but only reaching a Silver certification. ''The Polyester Embassy'' is the only album by Australian band Madison Avenue, released in Australia on 2 October 2000 by Vicious Grooves. Background Before joining Madison Avenue, Cheyne Coates was working as a choreographer and singer in Melbourne. Coates met producer and writer Andy Van Dorsselaer (aka Andy Van) in a dance club. Van was the founder of the Vicious Vinyl record label and had remix credits for Tina Arena and CDB. Van Dorsselaer had won an ARIA Award for his production work on "Coma" by Pendulum. The duo started working together mainly as writers and producers in 1998. Madison Avenue recorded their first song, "Fly", featuring Kellie Wolfgram as the vocalist. ''Honey to the B'' is the debut album by the pop singer Billie Piper, released in 1998. Known mononymously as Billie until her second album, she was the first and youngest British female artist to have a first single enter the UK singles chart at number one. A number of hit singles were released from the album, including "Girlfriend", "She Wants You", the anthemic "Because We Want To", and the title track "Honey to the Bee". "Honey to the Bee" was later covered by the Swedish girl group Play (band), Play on their 2003 album ''Replay (Play album), Replay''. Latin Quarter is a British band formed in 1983. They had one top 20 single "Radio Africa" in the United Kingdom. The British radio were cautious in the eighties to play their singles because of their political based lyrics. They became more popular in Germany and in northern Europe. Latin Quarter released their latest album, ''Releasing the Sheep'', on 29 October 2021. Their sound mixes elements of pop, rock, reggae and folk with largely political based lyrics.
