YB SK Beveren is a Belgian association football team that plays in the Belgian Provincial Leagues. The club was established by supporters of former Belgian champion K.S.K. Beveren, after the unofficial merger of their team with Red Star Waasland in May 2010. It is the first and currently the only Belgian team that is completely fan-owned and applies the principles of Supporters Direct. Beveren decided in May 2010 to terminate all male senior footballing activities for the next season. Freethiel Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Beveren, Belgium. The Freethiel Stadium, also known as the Freethiel for short, is the football stadium where the Belgian football club S.K. Beveren, SK Beveren (formerly known as Waasland-Beveren) plays its home games. The stadium was originally played by K.S.K. Koninklijke Sportkring Beveren (''Royal Sporting Club of Beveren'') is a Belgian association football club from the town of Beveren in East Flanders. KSK Beveren was particularly successful during the late 1970s and early 1980s in which it won two national championships and two Belgian Cups. In 1979 the club became the first champion of Belgium from the East Flanders province. KSK Beveren is up to the present day the only Belgian champion that is based in a municipality instead of a city. Belsele
Belsele is a village and a deelgemeente of the municipality of Sint-Niklaas, which is situated in the Belgian province of East Flanders. History Belsele was first mentioned in 870. In 1217 Belsele became an autonomous parish. In that time Belsele and Sinaai were united in rule in a tribunal (under the Keure van Waas). In 1795, Belsele became canton Capitol of the Scheldt department, with Daknam, Eksaarde, Elversele, Kemzeke, Sinaai, Sint-Pauwels, Tielrode and Waasmunster as subordinate municipalities. This statute was in force till the Belgian Revolution in 1830. Until the first half of the twentieth century, Belsele maintained its typical character of a farmers village in the Waas.
