Xingkang Bridge
The Xingkang Bridge or Luding Yaye Expressway Bridge as is a suspension bridge in Luding County, Sichuan, China that opened in 2018. The high deck is one of the highest in world. The bridge forms part of the G4218 Ya'an–Kargilik Expressway carrying traffic over the Dadu River. The bridge began construction in 2014 and opened in 2018. The main span of the bridge is making it one of the longest ever built. The bridge is located just 2 kilometres upstream from the Luding Dam and crosses the reservoir formed by the dam. Although the bridge is 285 metres above the original river the bridge sits 235 metres above the reservoir. The bridge was constructed as part of the new expressway from Ya'an to Kangding massively reducing travel times in the area. G4218 Ya'an–Kargilik Expressway
The G4218 Ya'an-Yecheng Expressway (), commonly referred to as the Yaye Expressway (), is an expressway that will traverse the entirety of Tibet and link Ya'an in Sichuan to Yecheng in Xinjiang. Description In a unique case for a spur route, when fully completed, its length will be over 4,000 km (1975.508 km between Ya'an and Qüxü alone), much longer than the G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway itself, making it the only spur route in the world to be longer than ''twice'' its principal route, the longest spur route in the world, and the second-longest route in the entire NTHS system. The longest national spur route outside China is NH 1A (India) at 663 km, while the G0612 Xining–Hotan Expressway will become the second-longest spur route at roughly 2,400 km. Dadu River (Sichuan)
The Dadu River (), known in Tibetan as the Gyelmo Ngul Chu, is a major river located primarily in Sichuan province, southwestern China. The Dadu flows from the eastern Tibetan Plateau into the Sichuan Basin where it joins with the Min River, a tributary of the Yangtze River. Measured from its geographic source, the Dadu is actually longer than the Min and thus forms the main stem of the Min River system. Shuangjiangkou Dam, expected to be the tallest dam in the world, is being built on the Dadu River. Luding County
Luding County (), also known via its Tibetan name as Chagsam or Jagsam ) is a county located in the southeast of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan province, China. Luding County covers an area of , and has a population of 86,234 as of 2022. Kangding (), also called Tachienlu and Dartsedo (; ), is a county-level city and the seat of Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan province of Southwest China.
