Xuexiang National Forest Park
Xuexiang National Forest Park (), is a national forest park in Changting township, Hailin, Heilongjiang, China. The Xuexiang National Forest Park occupies a large area that includes both the China Snow Town and a vast underdeveloped forest preservation area that surrounds the central touristic town. History The national forest park is established in 1948. It has been categorized as an AAAA level tourist site by the China National Tourism Administration. Hailin
Hailin () is a county-level city, under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang, in the southeast of Heilongjiang province, China, bordering Jilin province to the southwest. It has an area of , and a population of 422,000 (as reported in 2012). Ethnic groups include the majority Han Chinese as well as significant numbers of Manchu and ethnic Koreans. Name and meaning The name Hailin in English means "sea forest". Some people guess the meaning is "boundless forest", but the city was a merger of two counties, "Xinhai" and "Wulin", and its name was chosen by Chinese character in each of the old counties, and combined as"Hailin". Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA; ) was a Chinese government authority responsible for the development of tourism in the country. The CNTA was subordinate to the State Council. Its headquarters are in Beijing, with regional branches in various provinces. The predecessor was the China Travel and Tourism Administration (later renamed the China Travel and Tourism Administration) established in 1964. Based on their relative importance, each type of protected area can be further graded into two to three levels (national, provincial and prefectural/county level).
