Xiangyang–Jingmen high-speed railway (), or Xiangyang–Jingmen section of Hohhot–Nanning high-speed railway, is a high-speed railway line in Hubei, China. Hubei
Hubei (; ; alternately Hupeh) is a landlocked province of the People's Republic of China, and is part of the Central China region. The name of the province means "north of the lake", referring to its position north of Dongting Lake. Jingmen () is a prefecture-level city in central Hubei province, People's Republic of China. Jingmen is within an area where cotton and oil crops are planted. The population of the prefecture is 2,873,687 (2010 population census). The urban area of Jingmen City has a population of about 400,000. Hohhot–Nanning Corridor
The Hohhot–Nanning corridor is a proposed high-speed railway in China running from Hohhot in Inner Mongolia to Nanning in Guangxi. It will pass through the cities of Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Xiangyang, Changde, Yiyang, Shaoyang, Yongzhou and Guilin. The corridor is one of the sixteen railway lines proposed under the "eight horizontal and eight vertical" railway network introduced in 2016. Overview The Hohhot–Nanning corridor is a vertically-oriented (north–south) corridor with a liner path emanating from Hohhot in Inner Mongolia. It will travel through the provinces of Shanxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan, before terminating at Nanning in Guangxi. There are no branch lines. Xiangyang
Xiangyang is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Hubei province, China and the second largest city in Hubei by population. It was known as Xiangfan from 1950 to 2010. The Han River runs through Xiangyang's centre and divides the city north–south. The city itself is an agglomeration of two once separate cities: Fancheng and Xiangyang (or Xiangcheng), and was known as Xiangfan before 2010. What remains of old Xiangyang is located south of the Han River and contains one of the oldest still-intact city walls in China, while Fancheng is located to the north of the Han River. Both cities served prominent historical roles in both ancient and pre-modern Chinese history.
