Xavier Duursma
Xavier Duursma (born 7 July 2000) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by with the 18th draft pick in the 2018 AFL Draft. AFL career Duursma made his AFL debut in Port Adelaide's win over Melbourne in the opening round of the 2019 AFL season. He scored a goal on debut. In Round 6, Duursma earned the Rising Star nomination, following Port's 16 point win over . He quickly became well known for his bow and arrow goal celebration. Following the conclusion of the 2020 AFL season, which concluded with a preliminary final loss to , Duursma inherited the number seven guernsey from retired veteran Brad Ebert. 2023 AFL Season
The 2023 AFL season is the 127th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season will feature eighteen clubs and is scheduled to run from 16 March until 30 September, comprising a 23-game home-and-away season, the longest in league history, followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The Alberton Football Netball League was an Australian rules football league covering the South Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. History 1946: Reformation of Alberton Football Association (League) The Alberton Football Association was reformed in 1946 after the end of World War II in 1945, renamed the Alberton Football League in 1947, with eight teams comprising the league such as Carrajung, Devon (formed 1883 also known from 1900-1909 as West Alberton), Foster (formed 1890), Ramblers, Toora (formed 1891), Welshpool, Woodside and Yarram (formed 1887). Foster, Victoria
Foster is a dairying and grazing town south-east of Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in Victoria, Australia. At the Foster had an urban population of 1,164. It is about north of the Gippsland coastline which includes Shallow Inlet, Corner Inlet, Waratah Bay, Yanakie and Wilsons Promontory. Jamie Duursma
Jamie Duursma (born 14 November 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans, Brisbane Bears and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the late 1980s. Duursma, after a stint with the Hawthorn reserves, began his career in Sydney but after two years with the Swans joined Brisbane for their inaugural VFL season. He only made one appearance in the seniors while at Brisbane and was drafted to Melbourne in 1988 where he had some success, playing as a centre half back in their losing 1988 Grand Final team. His career was hampered by knee injuries. Brisbane Bears
The Brisbane Football Club, nicknamed the Bears, was a professional Australian rules football club based in Queensland on the Gold Coast (relocated to Brisbane in 1993). The club participated in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL) between 1987 and 1996, and entered the league as the first of two non-Victorian expansion teams. Bradley Ebert (born 2 April 1990) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the West Coast Eagles and . His father Craig Ebert played 112 games for during the 1980s. He is the nephew of Russell Ebert. Career West Coast The son of Craig Ebert, a former West Adelaide and player, and the nephew of Russell Ebert, Ebert was drafted with the 13th pick overall by the West Coast Eagles in the 2007 national draft, having previously played for Port Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).
