NAB League
The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception. The competition is one of the primary sources of recruitment for Australian Football League (AFL) clubs. It provides an opportunity for talented regional players to participate in a high standard competition without having to relocate too far from their place of origin. Tim Elliott (footballer)
Tim Elliott (born 12 September 1976) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Australian Football League (AFL). Elliott was a key defender and ruckman, originally from Lucknow Football Club in East Gippsland. Picked by St Kilda in the 1994 National Draft from the Gippsland Power, Elliott was restricted to the reserves in his first few years at the club. He had to wait until the 1998 AFL season to appear in the seniors. In 1999 he had his best year at the club, with 19 appearances. Robert Murphy (footballer)
Robert "Bob" Murphy (born 9 June 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Renowned for his silky skills and leadership qualities, Murphy also proved a versatile player, equally capable of playing in attack or in defence depending on the situation. He was appointed as the Bulldogs' captain for 2015 following the departure of predecessor Ryan Griffen. Early life Murphy is the third and youngest child of John and Monica Murphy. David Wojcinski
David Wojcinski (born 18 September 1980) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Career Wojcinski made his debut in 1998 . He won the club's Most Improved Player award for 2004. In 2007 he returned from a serious knee injury to play a major part for the Geelong side with his pace off half back. He was rewarded with a premiership medal in September. After injuring a tendon in his right finger during a 2008 pre-season practice match against the Richmond Tigers, Wojcinski found he required surgery to his little finger. He made a quick recovery from this surgery, playing against Essendon in Round 2. Whilst 2008 begun well for Wojcinski, Round 15 saw him injure an Achilles tendon, ruling him out until the Preliminary final against the Western Bulldogs more than two months later. Damien Adkins
Damien "Chipper" Adkins (born 9 March 1981) is an Australian rules footballer formerly with the Collingwood and West Coast Eagles Football Clubs in the AFL. He currently plays for the Frankston Football Club in the Victorian Football League. Collingwood Adkins was drafted by Collingwood with pick 50 in the 1998 AFL Draft. He played his first game for Collingwood in round 1, 2000. Adkins won a Rising Star nomination after collecting 19 disposals and kicking 2 goals in his third game, a match against Carlton in round 3, 2000. Greg Tivendale (born 19 April 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). Recruited from the Gippsland Power and Rythdale-Officer-Cardinia Football Club, Tivendale debuted in 1998 with the Richmond Football Club and was noted for talents including his long-kicking and long-range goals of his left boot. In Round 20, 2006, as the Tigers defeated Carlton by 45 points, Tivendale was awarded the second Terry Wallace Medal for best afield in Richmond's tenth win for the season. Callum Chambers
Callum Chambers (born 19 November 1979) is an Australian rules footballer who has played in the Australian Football League. He was recruited as the number 13 draft pick in the 1997 AFL Draft from Lucknow, Victoria. Callum made his debut for the West Coast Eagles in Round 10, 2000 against Hawthorn. He was a very skilled and essential player for the club while they were struggling at the bottom of the ladder during the 2001–02 seasons. However, as the Eagles' midfield was flooded with new talent, he struggled to make an impact and be selected for games on a consistent basis. During this period, he played many games in the WAFL; initially for West Coast's WAFL- affiliate, East Perth (2000–01); and then (after that affiliation ended) with West Perth (2002–04).
