Xan Valleys
''Xan Valleys'' is the first extended play (EP) released by British indie rock band Klaxons. Released on 16 October 2006, the album was released by Modular Recordings, the band's final release before signing with major label Polydor Records. Three of the tracks, "4 Horsemen of 2012", "Gravity's Rainbow" and " Atlantis to Interzone" would appear as re-recorded versions on the band's debut album, '' Myths of the Near Future''. Following this EP, the band re-released "Gravity's Rainbow" on 9 April 2007. The two remix tracks, "Gravity's Rainbow" and "Atlantis to Interzone", were made by fellow Modular Recordings artist Van She and fellow Merok Records artist Crystal Castles. Following the release of several 7-inch singles on different independent record labels, as well as the success of previous singles " Magick" and " Golden Skans", the band released their debut album, '' Myths of the Near Future'' on 29 January 2007. After playing festivals and headlining tours worldwide (including the NME Indie Rave Tour) during late 2006–07, the band started working on their follow-up album in July 2007. The Bouncer (song)
"The Bouncer" is a song by British electronic dance music duo Kicks Like a Mule. It was released as a single in 1992, and was a success, peaking at No. 7 on the UK Singles Chart. Crystal Castles (band)
Crystal Castles was a Canadian electronic music group formed in 2006 in Toronto, Ontario, formed by songwriter-producer Ethan Kath and singer-songwriter Alice Glass, who later left and was replaced by Edith Frances. Crystal Castles were known for their chaotic live shows and lo-fi melancholic homemade productions. They released many limited vinyl singles between 2006 and 2007 before releasing four studio albums between 2008 and 2016. Glass announced her departure from the band in October 2014, citing personal and professional reasons. Three years later, during the band's tour to support their fourth album, ''Amnesty (I)'', Glass accused Kath of sexual misconduct during her time in Crystal Castles, causing the remaining tour dates to be cancelled. "Atlantis to Interzone" is a song by British indie electro act Klaxons. The song references the mythical lost city of Atlantis and the short story collection ''Interzone'' by William S. Burroughs, which is itself Burroughs' concept of a "metaphorical stateless city". In October 2011, ''NME'' placed it at number 125 on its list "150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years". Gravity's Rainbow (song)
"Gravity's Rainbow" is a song by British band Klaxons, from their debut album '' Myths of the Near Future''. It is named after Thomas Pynchon's novel. The song was first released on Angular Records as a double A-side with " The Bouncer" in March 2006 and was limited to 500 copies on 7" vinyl only. In September 2006, it was released on 12" vinyl with three remixes of the track. It reached a peak position of number 35 on the UK Singles Chart. A re-recorded version of the track was re-released in 2007, with a remix from Soulwax, a new Erol Alkan-produced track "Electrickery" and a live version of the track. For the re-release of "Gravity's Rainbow", the band reshot the music video. There are two videos for this track, the original was shot in a basement using props belonging to the band members and took in total 72 hours to complete.
