XXXenophile (collectible Card Game)
''XXXenophile'' is a mature-themed science fiction and fantasy collectible card game based on the ''XXXenophile'' comic book, and was published by Slag-Blah Entertainment in 1996. Publication history A collectible card game based on the ''XXXenophile'' comic was created, with game mechanics designed by James Ernest; it was the first adult-themed CCG (with adult mechanics—some cards contained directions for the player to remove a piece of clothing). It was designed after positive reader reaction to the tenth issue of the comic's cover, which showed cards for a hypothetical ''XXXenophile'' CCG. James Ernest
James Ernest is an American game designer and juggler, best known as the owner and lead designer of Cheapass Games. Career Prior to founding Cheapass Games, Ernest worked as a juggler at various venues, including Camlann Medieval Village, and as a freelancer with Wizards of the Coast. He also worked for Carbonated Games. He has also created games for other publishers including Rio Grande Games and WizKids. In 2005, Paizo Publishing created Titanic Games with Ernest and Mike Selinker. Ernest's games include ''Unexploded Cow'', ''Kill Doctor Lucky'', ''The Big Idea'' and the game originally known as ''Before I Kill You, Mr. Bond'' (that game was eventually renamed after complaints from the owners of the Bond franchise). Girl Genius
''Girl Genius'' is an ongoing comic book series turned webcomic, written and drawn by Phil and Kaja Foglio and published by their company Studio Foglio LLC under the imprint Airship Entertainment. The comic won the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story three times, has been nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Professional Artist and twice for Eisner Awards, and won multiple WCCA awards. ''Girl Genius'' has the tagline of "Adventure, Romance, Mad Science!".
