XOXO (Onewe Album)
''XOXO'' is the second special single album by the South Korean band Onewe. The album was released by RBW on August 29, 2023, and distributed by Kakao Entertainment. ''XOXO'' was released as a special unit album by three members of the band, Harin, Dongmyeong and Giuk, during the mandatory military service of members Yonghoon and Kanghyun. It consists of four tracks, including two singles, "Salty Boy" by Dongmyeong and Giuk and "Omnipresent" by Harin and Giuk, along with the instrumentals for each. Background and release The two singles in the album were both performed as unit stages at Onewe's concerts prior to their official release, with Dongmyeong and Giuk first performing "Salty Boy" at Onewe's ''O! Onewe (, stylized in all caps, ) is a South Korean alternative rock band composed of five members: Yonghoon, Harin, Kanghyun, Dongmyeong and CyA. The members originally formed under the name M.A.S 0094 (Make a Sound 0094). They released their first digital single "Butterfly, Find a Flower" on August 13, 2015 under Modern Music. In April 2017, they moved to RBW and were renamed MAS. In June 2018, it was announced that the band would redebut under the new band name, Onewe. The band officially made its re-debut on May 13, 2019 with their first single album ''1/4''. Career 2015–2016: Formation and debut Formed in May 2015, M.A.S 0094 was an independent group that performed and covered well-known songs in public with all profits going to charity for comfort women victims. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010.
