XHITC-FM
XHITC-FM is the radio station of the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya in Celaya, Guanajuato. It broadcasts on 89.9 MHz and carries a college and cultural radio format under the name "Radio Tecnológico de Celaya". History The Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya had lobbied for a radio station since the late 1960s, with the authorization being awarded in 1974. However, the station had no equipment. It was not until April 14, 1978, as part of ITC's 20th anniversary celebrations, when XEITC-AM 1200 hit the air for the first time. The transmitter was donated by XEFG-AM. Celaya (; ) is a city and its surrounding municipalities of Mexico, municipality in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, located in the southeast quadrant of the state. WOAI (1200 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in San Antonio, Texas, which airs a news/talk format. It is owned and operated by locally based iHeartMedia, Inc., and is that company's flagship station. Studios are located in the Stone Oak neighborhood in Far North San Antonio. Its non-directional antenna transmitter site is off Santa Clara Road in Zuehl, Texas. WOAI promotion refers to the station as the "50,000 Watt Blowtorch" of South Texas. It is a Class A clear-channel station, broadcasting fulltime at the U.S. maximum power of 50,000 watts.
