XENT-AM
XHNT-FM is the callsign of a radio station in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. XHNT broadcasts on 97.5 MHz and carries Radio Fórmula programming. The station is also on AM as XENT-AM 790 kHz. History of the XENT call sign XENT-AM were the call letters of a border-blaster radio station licensed to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. It operated nightly from 1933 to 1940 on 1140 kc/s with a power reported from 50 kW to 150 kW. In 1944–1945, XENT's transmitter was acquired by Alamo Broadcasting for use at KABC in San Antonio, in a contested action. XENT was the continuation of KTNT ("Know The Naked Truth"), Norman G. Baker's station in Muscatine, Iowa, United States, as was forced off the air in 1931 for excessive self-promotion and want of candor. XHK-TV
XHK-TV was a television station on channel 10 in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. It broadcast from facilities in Colina del Sol, on the east side of the city of La Paz, and was owned by Televisión La Paz, S.A. History XHK was the first television station in Baja California Sur. It received its concession on May 30, 1968, and came to air on June 3. Broadcasting on channel 10 with an effective radiated power of 8,200 watts, XHK was a sister to XENT-AM 790, also owned by Francisco King Rondero and the first radio station in the territory, and the two stations formed the Radio and Television Center (''Centro de Radio y Televisión''). Border Blaster
A border blaster is a broadcast station that, though not licensed as an external service, is, in practice, used to target another country. The term "border blaster" is of North American origin, and usually associated with Mexican AM stations whose broadcast areas cover large parts of the United States, and United States border AM stations covering large parts of Canada. Conceptually similar European broadcasting included some pre-World War II broadcasting towards the United Kingdom, " radio périphérique" around France and the U.S. government-funded station Radio Free Europe, targeting eastern Europe. With broadcasting signals far more powerful than those of U.S. stations, the Mexican border blasters could be heard over large areas of the U.S. from the 1940s to the 1970s, often to the great irritation of American radio stations, whose signals could be overpowered by their Mexican counterparts. Eureka Springs is a city in Carroll County, Arkansas, United States, and one of two county seats for the county. It is located in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas, near the border with Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 2,166. Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread.
