XECT-AM is a radio station on 1190 AM in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It carries a hybrid format of talk and pop music. History XECT received its concession on August 20, 1971. XHCHL-FM is a radio station on 90.1 FM serving Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is owned by and known as . History XHCHL received its concession on November 23, 1994. XHCHL was authorized to broadcast with 15,000 (later 20,000) watts on 99.1 MHz from China, Nuevo León. On July 15, 1996, the station came to air with a grupera format known as "La Picosa". In 2007, XHCHL moved to 106.5 MHz. In 2010, XHCHL was authorized to move to Los Ramones and broadcast on 90.1. Initially, XHCHL on 90.1 was Beat 90.1, a dance Top 40 station featuring s a current-based mix of dance music, with Top 40 and R&B remixes, along with electronica and house music. XEG-AM (1050 kHz) is a Class A clear channel radio station in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Its transmitter is in Guadalupe, Nuevo León. XEG was known as a border blaster in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. It now uses the name ''La Ranchera de Monterrey'' and broadcasts a Classic Ranchera radio format. XEG is one of a handful of North American AM stations to broadcast at 100,000 watts around the clock. Guadalupe is a city and surrounding municipality located in the state of Nuevo León, in northern Mexico. It is part of the Greater Monterrey Metropolitan area. Radio Programas de México (RPM) was a radio company of Mexico, founded by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta and Clemente Serna Martínez in 1941.
