Groves High School (Wylie E. Groves High School or Groves) is a public, magnet high school in Beverly Hills, Michigan, United States, in the Birmingham Public School District. Groves' colors are green, white, and yellow and its mascot is Freddy the Falcon. The current principal is Dr. Susan Smith. The French School of Detroit holds its high school classes at Groves High School. History Name In 1951, a new high school in Birmingham opened under the name Birmingham High School (which is now known as Seaholm High School). Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. Jason Polan
Jason Daniel Polan (July 17, 1982 – January 27, 2020) was an American artist born in Ann Arbor, Michigan who lived and worked in New York City. Polan's illustrations have been published in ''The New Yorker'', ''The New York Times'', ''Metropolis Magazine'', and ''Timothy McSweeney's Quarterly Concern'', among others. Jeff Katz is an American film producer and comic book author. Early life Katz is from Franklin, Michigan. He started a pen-pal relationship with New Line Cinema founder and future boss Bob Shaye after meeting Shaye's father at a dinner party as an eight year old boy. As a teenager, Katz achieved some measure of local fame, including a feature on NBC's The Today Show, as the host of an AM talk radio show on WDFN, which at the time was a sports talk radio station.
