Wykked Wytch is an American black metal band signed to Perish Music Group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Biography The band released its first album, ''Something Wykked This Way Comes'', in 1996 on its own label, Cauldron Records. Demolition Records, a UK-based metal label, re-issued the album with two additional tracks for European distribution. Work began on a second album in 1999. ''Angelic Vengeance'' was recorded at Damage Studios in Italy and released in 2001. They recorded demos for a third album, ''Nefret'', in 2002 at Audiohammer Studios in Florida with engineer Jason Suecof and session drummer Richard Christy. The album was recorded in 2003 at Studio 13 in Florida and released in 2004 by Demolition/Dreamcatcher Records with cover art by Chad Michael Ward, who had designed the cover for ''Angelic Vengeance''. Deicide is an American death metal band formed in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by drummer/composer Steve Asheim and guitarist brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman as "Carnage", then hiring bassist/vocalist/lyricist Glen Benton and becoming "Amon". They would later change the band name to Deicide in 1989. Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer and musician Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. After recording independent EPs as a duo in the late 90's, and a demo CD, Evanescence released their debut studio album, ''Fallen'', on Wind-up Records in 2003. "Bring Me to Life" is the debut single by American rock band Evanescence from their debut studio album, ''Fallen'' (2003). Wind-up released it as the album's lead single on April 7, 2003. The song was written by Amy Lee when she was 19, after an exchange with an acquaintance during a time she was in relationship turmoil; the song is about having been desensitized and realizing all the things she had been missing in life. Guitarist Ben Moody and David Hodges also have songwriting credit on the song, which features guest vocals from Paul McCoy of the band 12 Stones. Produced by Dave Fortman, "Bring Me to Life" is a nu metal and goth metal crossover song. Carpathian Forest is a Norwegian black metal band formed by Nattefrost and Nordavind in 1992. History In late 1990, the band originally started under the name Enthrone by Nattefrost (then bearing the pseudonym Lord Nosferatu) and Nordavind (who used the pseudonym Lord Karnstein). Together they produced a self-released demo tape, ''Black Winds'', in 1991. In 1992, Enthrone changed its name to "Carpathian Forest", and Lord Blackmangler and Damnatus joined their line-up. As a quartet they self-released three demo tapes: ''Rehearsal Outtake'', ''Bloodlust and Perversion'' (both in 1992) and ''Journey Through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern'' (in 1993).
