Wuhan Railway Bureau
China Railway Wuhan Group, officially abbreviated as CR Wuhan or CR-Wuhan, formerly, Wuhan Railway Administration is a subsidiaries company under the jurisdiction of the China Railway (formerly the Ministry of Railway). As of 2007, the bureau is in charge of a total length of 6390.7 kilometers, and commercial length of 2709.2 kilometers of railways. It oversees 265 stations and manages the railways in Hubei and southern Henan Provinces. Wuchang District
Wuchang forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. It is the oldest of the three cities that merged into modern-day Wuhan, and stood on the right (southeastern) bank of the Yangtze River, opposite the mouth of the Han River. The two other cities, Hanyang and Hankou, were on the left (northwestern) bank, separated from each other by the Han River. The name "Wuchang" remains in common use for the part of urban Wuhan south of the Yangtze River. Administratively, however, it is split between several districts of the City of Wuhan. Wuhan
Wuhan (, ; ; ) is the capital of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China. It is the largest city in Hubei and the most populous city in Central China, with a population of over eleven million, the ninth-most populous Chinese city and one of the nine National Central Cities of China. Hubei
Hubei (; ; alternately Hupeh) is a landlocked province of the People's Republic of China, and is part of the Central China region. The name of the province means "north of the lake", referring to its position north of Dongting Lake. Henan (; or ; ; alternatively Honan) is a landlocked province of China, in the central part of the country. Henan is often referred to as Zhongyuan or Zhongzhou (), which literally means "central plain" or "midland", although the name is also applied to the entirety of China proper. Wuhan Railway Hub
Wuhan Railway Hub () is one of the four most important railway hubs in the People's Republic of China. The hub centers on Wuhan City, ranges from Wuhan North Railway Station in the north to the Wulongquan Railway Station in the south. Beijing–Guangzhou Railway, Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong High-Speed Railway and Beijing–Kowloon railway run through the Wuhan metropolitan area in the north–south direction. Wuhan-Jiujiang Railway, Hankou-Danjiangkou Railway and Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu High-Speed Railway runs through the area in the east–west direction. The 2013 ridership of Wuhan Railway Hub has reached 120 million trips, making it the hub with the largest passenger volume, surpassing Beijing and Guangzhou.
