Wisconsin International University College, Ghana is one of the earliest established private universities in Ghana. It is located at Agbogba Junction near Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was established in January 2000 and is accredited by the National Accreditation Board as a university college and affiliated to the University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University for Development Studies. History In 1992, Wisconsin International University was established. The first campus was established in Tallinn, Estonia and was called: Concordia International University Estonia. Concordia International University Estonia
Concordia International University Estonia (CIUE) was a private university in Tallinn, Estonia. It was established in 1993 as the Estonian campus of the Concordia International University, a private institution established in Milwaukee in 1992, renamed Wisconsin International University in 1995. It was accredited by the Estonia Minister of Education to offer a bachelor's degree in international business. Its relation with Wisconsin International University was severed in 1996 and CIUE became an independent institution. In 2003 Concordia University merged with International University Audentes. Between 2003 and 2006 as International University Concordia Audentes, it offered academic programs in law, business, media and social sciences for students studying in English. University For Development Studies
The University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana, Tamale was established in 1992 by the government of Ghana with a view to accelerating the development of the then 3 Northern Regions of Ghana (the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions). The late President Jerry Rawlings, Jerry John Rawlings played a crucial role in its founding as he used his prize money from World Food Prize of $50,000 as seed money for its founding. It was set up as a multi-campus institution. It is the fifth public university to be established in Ghana. This deviates from the usual practice of having universities with central campuses and administrations. It was created with the three northern regions of North Ghana in mind. Cape Coast
Cape Coast is a city, fishing port, and the capital of Cape Coast Metropolitan District and Central Region of Ghana. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is a public University of Ghana that focuses on science and technology.
