Wisconsin's 12th State Senate District
The 12th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northern Wisconsin, the district comprises Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Menominee, and Oneida counties, and most of Marinette, Oconto, and Vilas counties, as well as parts of northern Marathon County and Shawano County. Current elected officials Mary Felzkowski is the senator representing the 12th district. She was first elected in the 2020 general election. She previously served 8 years in the State Assembly. 2020 Wisconsin State Senate Election
The 2020 Wisconsin State Senate elections were taking place as part of the biennial 2020 United States elections. Wisconsin voters elected state senators in 16 of the state's 33 senate districts. State senators serve four-year terms in the Wisconsin State Senate, with roughly half of the seats up for election every two years. The primary elections on August 11, 2020, determined which candidates will appear on the November 3, 2020, general election ballot. Following the previous election in 2018 and two announced vacancies (one from each party), Republicans had control of the Wisconsin State Senate with 18 seats against 13 held by Democrats. Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District
Wisconsin's 8th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in northeastern Wisconsin. It is currently represented by Mike Gallagher, a Republican. Gallagher won the open seat vacated by Reid Ribble who retired in 2016. It is also one of two Congressional Districts to ever elect a Catholic priest, Robert John Cornell. The 8th District has leaned Republican throughout its history; seven Democrats have represented it since its creation, but none have served more than two terms. It became more of a swing seat in the 1990s. In 2004, Republican George W. Bush won 55 percent of the vote in the district, while in 2008, Democrat Barack Obama received 53.6 percent of the vote. Tom Tiffany
Thomas P. Tiffany (born December 30, 1957) is an American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 7th congressional district since 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2011 and the Wisconsin Senate in 2013. Tiffany succeeded Sean Duffy in Congress, winning a special election against Democrat Tricia Zunker. Early life and education Tiffany was born in Wabasha, Minnesota, and grew up on a dairy farm near Elmwood, Pierce County, Wisconsin, with five brothers and two sisters. Wisconsin's 7th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in northwestern and central Wisconsin; it is the largest congressional district in the state geographically, covering 20 counties (in whole or part), for a total of 18,787 sq mi. The district contains the following counties: Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, St. Croix, Chippewa (partial), Clark, Douglas, Florence, Forest, Iron, Jackson (partial), Juneau (partial), Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Monroe (partial), Oneida, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Vilas, Washburn, and Wood (partial). Crivitz, Wisconsin
Crivitz is a village in Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 984 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Marinette, WI– MI Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Crivitz was surveyed and plotted in the summer of 1883. This work was filed with the Register of Deeds in Marinette County on 10 September 1883 by German immigrant Frederick John Bartels,http://www.villageofcrivitz.com who named the settlement after his home town of Crivitz, Germany. The demographic character of the Crivitz area was shaped significantly after a typhoid epidemic in 1894, which shut down the sawmills. Hieronymus Zech (1849–1932), a mill operator from Chilton, took over operation of the inactive mills and promoted land sales to Polish immigrants, many of whom relocated from Milwaukee and Chicago. Wilson, Lincoln County, Wisconsin
Wilson is a town in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 309 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated community of McCord is located partially in the town. Geography Wilson is in northern Lincoln County, northwest of the city of Tomahawk. The town is bordered to the north by Oneida County. U.S. Route 8 crosses the northern part of the town, leading east to U.S. Route 51 and west to Prentice. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which are land and , or 3.58%, are water. Calvin Callahan (born March 2, 1999) is an American Republican politician. He serves as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 35th Assembly district. His district comprises Lincoln County, western Langlade County, and neighboring towns in Marathon, Oneida, and Shawano counties, in north-central Wisconsin. Rhinelander is a city in and the county seat of Oneida County, Wisconsin, Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 8,285 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census.
