The 2021 Winter Is Coming was the second annual Winter Is Coming professional wrestling television special produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The event took place on December 15, 2021, at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. It was broadcast live on TNT as a special episode of AEW's weekly television program, '' Wednesday Night Dynamite''. Four matches were contested at the event. In the main event, MJF defeated Dante Martin to win the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring for the third time. The event was highly praised by fans and critics, with particular praise going towards the opening bout between defending AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page and Bryan Danielson; their match ended in a 60-minute time limit draw. Stephen Blake Woltz (born July 27, 1991), better known by his ring name "Hangman" Adam Page, is an American Professional wrestling, professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a former AEW World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion. Woltz began his career in 2008, working on the independent circuit as Adam Page. In 2011, he began to appear in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he stayed for seven years. In 2016, Page joined the villainous stable Bullet Club, having a big push in the promotion. After he joined, he changed his gimmick to "Hangman" Adam Page, a cowboy-inspired character. AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring
In professional wrestling, a battle royal (sometimes battle royale; plural battles royal or battle royals) is a multi-competitor match type in which wrestlers are eliminated until one is left and declared the winner. Typical battles royal begin with a number of participants in the ring, who are then eliminated by going over the top rope and having both feet touch the venue floor. Variations Battlebowl In a two-ring variation on a battle royal, the wrestlers start in one ring and try to throw wrestlers into the second ring, after which they can be eliminated by being thrown out of that ring.
