Windsor International Transit Terminal
Windsor International Transit Terminal is a bus terminal for Transit Windsor. It is located on the block between Chatham Street and Pitt Street on the east side of Church Street in downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Transit Windsor redeveloped its downtown transit terminal through a public-private partnership involving federal, provincial and local governments and Greyhound Canada. The new bus station, built at a cost of $7.4-million, opened in the summer of 2007, replacing a small facility that was more than 65 years old. Windsor's Community Museum
Windsor Community Museum is a historical museum located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada which displays artifacts from Windsor. It is located at François Baby House, built in 1812 by François Baby, a prominent French-Canadian (which is now designated as a National Historic Site). The museum was founded as the Hiram Walker Historical Museum because Hiram Walker and Sons Limited donated a lot of money for the restoration of the Baby House. In 1991 the museum's name was changed to the "François Baby House: Windsor's Community Museum" in an attempt alleviate confusion between the museum and the Hiram Walker Company. François Baby House
The François Bâby House is a historic residence located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada which was owned by the prominent local politician François Baby. The house is a two-storey, Georgian style, red brick house once known as ''La Ferme'' locally, and was a French-Canadian ribbon farm which was a long narrow tract fronting endwise on the Detroit River. The home itself has historical ties to the War of 1812 where it was used as a headquarters by both the American and British forces. Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada is one of four casinos in the Detroit–Windsor area and was opened in 1994 on the waterfront of the Detroit River.
