Winchester Airport
Winchester Airport was located south of Winchester, Ontario, Canada, south of Ottawa. The airport had two runways, one paved and one grass. The aerodrome was permanently closed as of May 15, 2012. The NOTAM entry published by NAV Canada reads: CNA8 WEF 2012 MAY 15 0401 AMEND PUB: AD PERM CLSD The paved runway appears to have been removed, but hangar and other buildings remain on site after the closure. North Dundas, Ontario
North Dundas is a township in Eastern Ontario, Canada, in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. North Dundas is located approximately south of downtown Ottawa, midway between Ottawa and Morrisburg. It is primarily rural with a few small villages. It is spread across the South Nation River and the East Castor River watersheds. The township was incorporated on January 1, 1998, by amalgamating the former townships of Mountain and Winchester with the independent villages of Chesterville and Winchester. The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) (french: Association canadienne des pilotes et propriétaires d'aéronefs) is a federally registered not-for-profit association that provides information and advocacy services for Canadian pilots who fly for non-commercial purposes. COPA has close to 15,000 members which ranks it as the largest aviation association of any kind in Canada. Its mission is to "Advance, promote and preserve the Canadian freedom to fly".
