White House (NJT Station)
White House is a NJ Transit railroad station on the Raritan Valley Line, in the Whitehouse Station section of Readington in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The station is on the west side of Main Street in the center and the station building has subsequently been turned into a branch library for the Hunterdon County Library system. This station has no weekend service. The building was designed for the Central Railroad of New Jersey in the Richardson Romanesque style by Bradford Gilbert who is best known for having designed the first steel-framed curtain wall building, but who also designed at least six railroad stations. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for its significance in architecture and part in the Operating Passenger Railroad Stations Thematic Resource. County Route 523 (New Jersey)
County Route 523 (CR 523) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Route 29 in Stockton to U.S. Route 202 (US 202) in Bedminster Township. Route description CR 523 begins at an intersection with Route 29 (Main Street) in Stockton, Hunterdon County, heading northeast on Stockton-Flemington Road through wooded residential areas. The road leaves Stockton for Delaware Township and enters a mix of farms and woods with some homes. The route intersects CR 605 before crossing CR 604 in the residential community of Sergeantsville. CR 523 passes through more rural areas as it comes to a brief concurrency with CR 579. After CR 579 splits to the south, the route enters Raritan Township and enters rural areas with increasing residential subdivisions.
