Westboro Station
Westboro is a station in Ottawa, Ontario. It is located in the Westboro neighbourhood, on Scott Street between Athlone and Tweedsmuir avenues. The Transitway in the area was in a below-grade 'trench' parallelling Scott Street. Each platform had an elevator and stairway to the ground level above; the two sides were connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge, and the ground-level station area also had platforms for local buses. In June 2022, this stretch of Transitway was permanently closed to facilitate O-Train Stage 2 construction. The bus stops were relocated to curbside along Scott Street, and the original station was closed. Ottawa Transitway
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with the regular traffic, and make it possible for them to continue at full speed even during rush hour. Westboro (often referred to as Westboro Village) is an area in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located along the Ottawa River, Island Park Drive defines Westboro's eastern border, while the Ottawa River defines its northern border. Minto Metropole
The Minto Metropole is a 32-story residential building in the Westboro neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario. At , it is the third-tallest building in Ottawa, after Claridge Icon and Place de Ville Tower C. It is the second-tallest residential building in the National Capital Region. The Minto Metropole is located on the near western side of the city on Island Park Drive, overlooking the Ottawa River, and within walking distance of Westboro Station. Opened in 2004, the postmodern tower is home to 153 condominiums. Originally, Minto planned to build a series of shorter towers along the waterfront, but residents complained that such a project would completely obscure their view of the river. As a result, Minto proposed building a single tall but slim tower, and city council approved the necessary rezoning. Lincoln Fields Station
Lincoln Fields is a station on Ottawa's transitway located at Carling Avenue and the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway. It is adjacent to the now-shuttered Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre. It is the main western hub of the transitway system and has a ticket sales and information office as well as a small convenience store. The transitway routes branch off in two directions: westward to Kanata and Stittsville, and southward to Barrhaven.
