Wayne Hennessey
Wayne Robert Hennessey (born 24 January 1987) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Nottingham Forest and the Wales national team. Hennessey's first professional games saw him set a new Football League record for consecutive clean sheets while on loan at Stockport County. He played 166 times for Wolverhampton Wanderers over eight seasons, including three years at Premier League level. After several injury setbacks, he moved to join Crystal Palace in 2014. He played 132 total games in eight seasons at Palace, including their defeat in the 2016 FA Cup Final, and then played for Burnley and Nottingham Forest. A full international since 2007, Hennessey is Wales' third most-capped player and its most capped goalkeeper, with over 100 caps. In men's association football, a cap is traditionally awarded in international football to a player making an official match appearance for their national team. In total, over 600 players have played in 100 or more international matches. The record is held jointly by Bader Al-Mutawa of Kuwait and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, who both made their 196th appearance in 2022. The record was previously held by Soh Chin Ann of Malaysia, with 195 of his 222 appearances being ratified as official. The discrepancy is due to FIFA, the international football governing body, not recognising matches such as those within the Olympic Games and those not categorised as 'A' matches. Ysgol David Hughes (meaning: ''David Hughes School'') is a bilingual secondary school on Anglesey, Wales. Anglesey (; cy, (Ynys) Môn ) is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. Beaumaris ( ; cy, Biwmares ) is a town and community on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, of which it is the former county town of Anglesey. Terry Hennessey
William Terrence Hennessey (born 1 September 1942) is a Welsh former international footballer who gained 39 caps for Wales. He played as a defender and made 400 Football League appearances in the 1960s and 1970s with Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County. After his playing career, he managed a number of clubs, including Tulsa Roughnecks of the North American Soccer League, whom he led to the league championship in 1983. Playing career He joined Birmingham City as a junior, going on to make 178 League appearances for them, as well as being part of the team that won the 1962–63 Football League Cup.
