Wario
is a fictional character in Nintendo's Mario (franchise), ''Mario'' series, designed as an Arch rival, arch-rival to Mario. He first appeared in the 1992 Game Boy game ''Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins'' as the main antagonist and final Boss (video games), boss. His name is a portmanteau of Mario's name and the Japanese word ''warui'' (wikt:悪い, 悪い), meaning "bad". Charles Martinet
Charles Martinet (, ; born September 17, 1955) is an American actor and voice actor, known for his portrayal of both Mario and Luigi in the ''Super Mario'' video game series since 1992. He is also the voice of other characters in the series such as Wario, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi. Early life Martinet is of French descent and speaks fluent French and Spanish. His family moved to Barcelona when he was 12 years old, and later to Paris. He attended the American School of Paris and graduated in 1974. Martinet attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he originally intended to study international law. In his senior year he decided to discontinue his studies after a tutor told him to "regurgitate information he'd written in his book, chapter-by-chapter". Hiroji Kiyotake (清武 博二 Kiyotake Hiroji, born December 21, 1960 in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan) is a game designer for Nintendo and has been a part of the history of Nintendo since 1983. Education Kiyotake graduated from Kyoto Seika University with a BA of Visual Design and was part of the rugby club.
