Wang-an Airport
Wang-an Airport () is an airport in Wang-an, Penghu Islands, Taiwan (ROC). History Construction of the airport started in January 1988, and was finished later that year. On 11 May 1991 the Civil Aeronautics Administration began to manage the airport, and the airport now has an auxiliary status. The runway was resurfaced in 1996. The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA; ) is a government agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Republic of China, Taiwan, which is responsible for the regulation of all civil aviation activities. CAA operates the passenger terminals in 18 airports, of which 9 airports are owned by CAA, with the rest owned by the Republic of China Air Force. Wang'an, Penghu
Wangan Township / Wang-an Township () is a rural township in Penghu County (the Pescadores), Taiwan. It is the second smallest township in Penghu County after Cimei Township. The township is made up of nineteen islands, six of which are inhabited. Name The main island is Wangan Island, originally known as Bazhao / Pa Chao (). Geography The township is located in the southern sea of Penghu. The Penghu (, Hokkien POJ: ''Phîⁿ-ô͘'' or ''Phêⁿ-ô͘'' ) or Pescadores Islands are an archipelago of 90 islands and islets in the Taiwan Strait, located approximately west from the main island of Taiwan, covering an area of . The largest city is Magong, located on the largest island, which is also named Magong. The Penghu islands had its first historical record during the Tang dynasty and were inhabited by Chinese people by the Song dynasty, during which it was attached to Jinjiang County of Fujian. Daily Air Corporation () is an airline with its headquarters in Songshan District, Taipei, Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It operates scheduled passenger services to offshore islands from Taiwan, including Penghu, Green Island and Orchid Island, as well as helicopter contract services and charters. Kaohsiung International Airport () is a medium-sized civil airport in Siaogang District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, also known as Siaogang Airport (). With nearly seven million passengers in 2018, it is the second busiest airport in Taiwan, after Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan.
