''Wanessa Camargo'' is the third studio album by Brazilian singer Wanessa Camargo. It was released on December 5, 2002, by BMG Brasil and RCA Records. The album represented a departure from her previous studio albums which incorporate more elements of country music. The album was a commercial success, selling over 350,000 copies in Brazil and receiving a gold certification by the Associação Brasileira dos Produtores de Discos (ABPD). Background and development Following the release of her second album ''Wanessa Camargo'' (2001), Camargo began recording material for her third album. The writing and production team includes Jason Deere, César Lemos and Silvio Richetto who were also involved in her previous album and were tasked with creating a more pop-sounding record. Kin Vassy
Charles Kindred Vassy (August 16, 1943 – June 23, 1994) was a singer-songwriter, who in addition to his solo recordings also recorded with other artists, most notably Kenny Rogers, Frank Zappa and Elvis Presley. In the 1960s, Vassy was a member of The Back Porch Majority. He left that group in 1969 and joined the country rock band Kenny Rogers and The First Edition. As a member of the group he recorded a top 30 album — '' Something's Burning'' — and one of his own songs "Heed The Call" became a top 40 hit in 1970. He performed lead vocal on the group's 1972 single "School Teacher". In 1973, he sang the "Yipee-Yi-Yo-Ty-Yay's" on the outro of Frank Zappa's single "Montana" from the "Over-Nite Sensation" album. Marc Beeson
Marc Beeson (born December 20, 1954 in Champaign, Illinois) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Beeson has co-written several singles which have reached the Hot Country Songs charts. Life and career Beeson moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1990. One of his first co-writes was "Even Now (Exile song), Even Now", a top 20 hit for Exile (American band), Exile. In 1992, he co-wrote Restless Heart's "When She Cries", which won him Country Song of the Year and Pop Song of the Year awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). Beeson signed to BNA Records in 1994, charting at number 70 with "A Wing and a Prayer".
