WLGD (107.7 MHz, "Bigfoot Legends 101.7 & 107.7") is an FM radio station, licensed to Dallas, Pennsylvania, and serving the Scranton - Wilkes-Barre area of Northeastern Pennsylvania. It currently airs a classic country format. WLGD is owned and operated by Seven Mountains Media. History: Beginnings as WYMK This station began as WYMK, and was borne out of an effort that began in the mid-1980s with the debut of its AM sister station, WEMR (now WGMM). There was no radio station on the air at that time serving Wyoming County, until a consortium of several local businessmen pooled their resources together to put WEMR on the air. Off to a good, though not overwhelming, start, the new company, known as Endless Mountain Broadcasting, Inc., was inspired to put an FM station on the air, with the help of additional investors to build the new station. Calhoun City is a town in Calhoun County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,774 at the 2010 census. Geography Calhoun City is located in south-central Calhoun County., and is bordered on the east by the town of Derma. Mississippi Highway 9 runs through the center of the town, leading north to Pittsboro, the county seat, and north to Bruce. Mississippi Highway 8 leads east from the center of town to Vardaman and to Houston. The two highways head south from the town together, Highway 9 leading south to Slate Springs and Highway 8 leading south then west to Grenada. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and , or 0.69%, is water. The Yalobusha River, a tributary of the Yazoo River, passes a mile south of the center of town. Maplesville is a town in Chilton County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 637. It is located approximately halfway between Tuscaloosa and Montgomery on U.S. Route 82. The mayor of Maplesville is W. C. Hayes, Jr. History The town of Maplesville first began to grow in a location east of its present location, near Mulberry Creek.
