WLGD (107.7 MHz, "Bigfoot Legends 101.7 & 107.7") is an FM radio station, licensed to Dallas, Pennsylvania, and serving the Scranton - Wilkes-Barre area of Northeastern Pennsylvania. It currently airs a classic country format. WLGD is owned and operated by Seven Mountains Media. History: Beginnings as WYMK This station began as WYMK, and was borne out of an effort that began in the mid-1980s with the debut of its AM sister station, WEMR (now WGMM). There was no radio station on the air at that time serving Wyoming County, until a consortium of several local businessmen pooled their resources together to put WEMR on the air. Dallas is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,692 at the 2020 census. Donald L. Sherwood (born March 5, 1941) is an American politician. He served as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania's 10th congressional district, from 1999 to 2007. He was defeated for reelection by Democrat Chris Carney in November 2006.
