WBEN-FM (95.7 MHz, "95.7 Ben FM") is a commercial radio station licensed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Beasley Broadcast Group and broadcasts an adult hits radio format. The studios and offices are in Bala Cynwyd and the broadcast tower is on Wigard Avenue in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia at (). The station plays a mix of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s hits, with some current hot adult contemporary singles. Named after Benjamin Franklin, BEN-FM's slogan is "Playing Anything We Feel Like." The formula originated in Canada as Jack FM. Unlike many adult hits stations, WBEN-FM uses DJs. The station imaging is handled by Howard Cogan, the former voice of Jack FM. Actor John O'Hurley of the TV show Seinfeld previously did the station imaging. WWDB (860 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with its studios and offices in the "555 Building" on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. It is owned by the Beasley Broadcast Group and broadcasts mostly paid brokered programming. Shows on health, money, gardening, home repair, real estate, religion and politics are found on the schedule. Some programs are broadcast in Hungarian, Ukrainian, Yiddish, Italian and other languages. Hosts pay for their time on the air and may advertise their services or products during their programs. WWDB is a daytimer radio station. Because AM 860 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A CJBC Toronto, WWDB must go off the air at sunset to avoid interference. John O'Hurley
John George O'Hurley Jr. (born October 9, 1954) is an American actor, comedian, singer, author, game show host and television personality. He is known for his portrayal of J. Peterman on the NBC sitcom ''Seinfeld'', and was the sixth host of the game show ''Family Feud'' from 2006 to 2010. He also hosted '' To Tell the Truth'' from 2000 to 2002 in syndication. Early life O'Hurley was born in Kittery, Maine, the son of Jean (February 14, 1930 - February 9, 2017), a housewife, and John O'Hurley Sr. (January 18, 1928 - February 1, 2020), an ear, nose, and throat surgeon. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Jack FM is a radio network brand, licensed by Sparknet Communications, with the exception of the European Union where it is licensed by Oxis Media. It plays an adult hits radio format, format, in most cases not using disc jockey, DJs. Format characteristics Stations using the "Jack" name are strictly licensed by SparkNet Communications.
