KMFDM Compilation Albums
KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. German guitarist Günter Schulz joined in 1990; both he and Esch continued with the band until KMFDM broke up in 1999. Konietzko resurrected KMFDM in 2002 (Esch and Schulz declined to rejoin) on Metropolis Records, and by 2005 he had assembled a consistent line-up that included American singer Lucia Cifarelli, British guitarists Jules Hodgson and Steve White, and British ...

Sausages
A sausage is a type of meat product usually made from ground meat—often pork, beef, or poultry—along with salt, spices and other flavourings. Other ingredients, such as grains or breadcrumbs may be included as fillers or extenders. When used as an adjective, the word ''sausage'' can refer to the loose sausage meat, which can be formed into patties or stuffed into a skin. When referred to as "a sausage", the product is usually cylindrical and encased in a skin. Typically, a sausage is formed in a casing traditionally made from intestine, but sometimes from synthetic materials. Sausages that are sold raw are cooked in many ways, including pan-frying, broiling and barbecuing. Some sausages are cooked during processing, and the casing may then be removed. Sausage-making is a traditional food preservation technique. Sausages may be preserved by curing, drying (often in association with fermentation or culturing, which can contribute to preservation), smoking, or fre ...

WWIII (KMFDM Album)
''WWIII'' is KMFDM's thirteenth studio album, released on September 23, 2003. It follows the common KMFDM practice of naming albums with five-letter words. This is KMFDM's only release on Sanctuary Records. Lyrically, the album is very political. The songs primarily attack George W. Bush's presidency, various US wars in the Middle East, and America's foreign policy. The last track, "Intro", introduces the members of the band. It was recorded in Seattle, Washington. The album's first and eponymous single was featured in the game '' Saints Row: The Third''. Reception ''WWIII'' received mixed reviews. '' The News-Times'' called it a "butt-rock masterpiece". David Jeffries of Allmusic said, "The most frustrating thing about ''WWIII'' is that it's so darn inconsistent." Track listing Personnel *Sascha Konietzko – programming, loops, synths, vocals (1–5, 7–9, 11), bass (1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10) *Jules Hodgson – guitar, programming (1, 3, 5, 8–11), bass (3, 5, 8), synths (1 ...

It was released in two limited edition vinyl pressings and as a CD single. Background KMFDM was preparing to release their ninth studio album ''Xtort''. Summer Swindle", a cassette sampler included with 45,000 issues of the July 1996 issue of ''Alternative Press Alternative press may refer to: Individual publications * ''Alternative Press'' (magazine), an American music magazine Alternative journalism * Alternative media ** Alternative media (U.S. political left) ** Alternative media (U.S. political ri ...''. A Drug Against War
"A Drug Against War" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM, taken from their 1993 album ''Angst''. It was released as a single prior to the album. A music video, featuring animated depictions of the band's previous album covers and singles, was made for the single, and was subsequently shown on the MTV cartoon ''Beavis and Butt-head'' on July 11, 1994. It was re-released as a 7" in 2009. On December 16, 2010, it was made available as a downloadable song for the game ''Rock Band''. In late 2011, the band released a new version of the song called "A Drug Against Wall Street", with lyrics in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement, and made it available for free download from their site. Song The song includes several militaristic samples. The primary one, in which someone calls for the bombing of enemy troops, comes from a live news broadcast about the Gulf War that Konietzko taped. The lyrics mix social criticism with regular reference to war, and the instruments simulate ...

Godlike (song)
"Godlike" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM from their 1990 album ''Naïve''. Background According to KMFDM frontman Sascha Konietzko, the song made its debut during KMFDM's 1990 tour with industrial metal band Ministry, being based on the lyrics by Patti Smith. When Koneitzko's bandmate En Esch, who had been singing the song live, was injured during a fire, Konietzko had to use new lyrics, as he didn't know the original words. He translated a German spoken word piece the band had been using at their live shows into English, and used the translation as the new lyrics. After the tour, the band recorded a version for their album ''Naïve'' with a group of performers from other Wax Trax! Records bands. Later, Konietzko re-recorded a more electronic version for the single. The track heavily features a sampled guitar riff from " Angel of Death" by Californian thrash metal band Slayer. This sample is looped from the beginning of "Godlike" and is heard almost continuously throu ...

Juke Joint Jezebel
"Juke Joint Jezebel" is a song by industrial rock group KMFDM from their 1995 album ''Nihil''. It is KMFDM's most widely known song to date, with around three million copies of the song sold across various releases. Background and composition The music for the song was written primarily by KMFDM frontman Sascha Konietzko, who asked returning band member Raymond Watts to write the lyrics for "Juke Joint Jezebel" as well as a few other tracks from ''Nihil''. Also credited as authors are En Esch and Günter Schulz. When mixing the song, Konietzko thought it sounded too "awful" to be included on ''Nihil'', but TVT Records, to whom KMFDM were signed at the time, wanted to put it on the album, certain it would become a hit. In KMFDM's profile for ''Trouser Press'', Neil Strauss highlights Watts' lyrics and looped guitar riffs and electro-funk beats as the song's main features. In a 2013 book '' Assimilate: A Critical History of Industrial Music'', musician and scholar S. Alexander Reed ...

Anarchy (song)
The tenth studio album by German industrial band KMFDM, titled with a set of five unpronounceable, non-alphabetic symbols, 💥☠️💣🌀👊 (approximated using Emoji), and commonly known as ''Symbols'', was released on September 23, 1997 by Wax Trax! Records. Background Recorded in Seattle, Washington, ''Symbols'' marked the introduction of Tim Skold. While his contribution to this album was as a guest, he would become a full-fledged member for '' Adios'' and ''Attak''. Sascha Konietzko, the frontman of KMFDM, said the title had no special meaning, and was just an idea for a title the group had very early on, before a single album had been released. En Esch said the idea for the album title came from the symbols used for curses in comic books. The symbols appear in the printed lyrics of "Down and Out"; the corresponding point in the song is covered with a censor-like beep in the song, and is replaced with "(SYMBOLS)" on the official KMFDM lyrics archive. Release ''Symbol ...
