Wyoming Highway 37 (WYO 37) is a north–south Wyoming state highway located in northern Big Horn County and travels from U.S. Route 14A north into Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. Route description Wyoming Highway 37 begins at its southern end at U.S. Route 14A, east of Lovell, and travels north into Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area
Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is a national recreation area established by an act of Congress on October 15, 1966, following the construction of the Yellowtail Dam by the Bureau of Reclamation. It straddles the border between Wyoming and Montana. The dam, named after the famous Crow leader Robert Yellowtail, harnesses the waters of the Bighorn River by turning that variable watercourse into Bighorn Lake. Big Horn County, Wyoming
Big Horn County is a county in the U.S. state of Wyoming. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 11,521. The county seat is Basin. Its north boundary abuts the south boundary of Montana. History Big Horn County was created by the legislature of Wyoming Territory in March 1890, and was organized in 1897; its area was annexed from Fremont, Johnson, and Sheridan counties. Big Horn County was named for the Big Horn Mountains which form its eastern boundary.
