A general election was held in the U.S. state of Wyoming on November 6, 2018. All of Wyoming's executive offices were up for election, as well as a United States Senate seat and Wyoming's at-large seat in the United States House of Representatives. Primary elections were held on August 21, 2018. Edward Buchanan
Edward Allen Buchanan (born October 19, 1967) is an American politician, attorney, and military veteran, who served as the Wyoming Secretary of State from 2018 to 2022. Prior to being Secretary of State, Buchanan was a member and past Speaker of the Wyoming House of Representatives. Political career A Republican, Buchanan represented House District 4 from 2003 until 2013, first in Goshen County and then from Platte and Converse counties. Buchanan was Majority Leader of the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2009 until 2011, and was elected Speaker of the Wyoming House of Representatives in 2011. Kristi Racines (born c. 1983) is an American politician from the state of Wyoming. She is the Wyoming State Auditor. Early life and career Racines was born in Casper, Wyoming, and raised in Riverton. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in accounting and Spanish. She is a certified public accountant and worked as the chief financial officer and director of human resources for the Wyoming Supreme Court Office of Court Administration, responsible for managing an $80 million budget. Leland Christensen
Leland G. Christensen (April 30, 1959 – February 4, 2022) was an American politician who was a Republican member of the Wyoming Senate, representing the 17th district from 2011 until 2019. Life and career Christensen was born in Alta, Wyoming, and lived in Jackson, Wyoming. He worked as a law enforcement officer and an auctioneer. He served for fifteen years in the Wyoming National Guard and with the 19th Special Forces Group in the U.S. Army. He died from complications of COVID-19 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on February 4, 2022, at the age of 62, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Idaho.
