Wyee Railway Station
Wyee railway station is located on the Main Northern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the City of Lake Macquarie town of Wyee opening on 1 August 1892. Until the early 2000s, two sidings were located to the west of the station to serve a cement works just north of the station. Another siding was located to the east of the station. All have been removed. In August 2020 an upgrade was complete which included three new lifts. Platforms & services Wyee has one island platform with two faces. It is serviced by NSW TrainLink Central Coast & Newcastle Line services travelling from Sydney Central to Newcastle. Wyee ( )) is a small town in the Lake Macquarie and Central Coast regions of New South Wales, Australia, in the City of Lake Macquarie and Central Coast Council. It is near the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway and has a railway station (opened 1892) on NSW TrainLink's Central Coast & Newcastle Line. It had a population of 1,487 in 2001, which significantly increased to 2,588 in 2011, and decreased to 2,406 in 2016. Wyee is considered a shanty town and remains highly unchanged since World War II. Wyee is said to be derived from an Awabakal Aboriginal term for "fire" or "place of bushfires". The Awabakal are the traditional people of this area. Wyee is part of the City of Lake Macquarie but it lacks a connection to sewer system; there are the Hunter Water Sewage Treatment Plant and the Wyong Shire Treatment Plant in the area. Budgewoi
Budgewoi is a suburb located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, as part of the local government area. Budgewoi is located 112 km by road north of the Sydney central business district. Much of the town is surrounded by water; Lake Munmorah, Budgewoi Lake and the Pacific Ocean. An Ideal spot for water enthusiasts. Wangi Wangi () is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, which forms a peninsula jutting eastwards into Lake Macquarie. Wangi Wangi is a well known holiday spot, that was frequented in the early days by families from the coalfields. It is known for its views, bush-walking, and fishing spots. Warnervale is a town in the Australian state of New South Wales. It lies approximately 95 km north of the Sydney CBD, located west of Tuggerah Lake, a large shallow coastal lake, and just north of Wyong.
