Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp (March 19, 1848 – January 13, 1929) was an American lawman and gambler in the American West, including Dodge City, Deadwood, and Tombstone. Earp took part in the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral, during which lawmen killed three outlaw Cochise County Cowboys. He is often erroneously regarded as the central figure in the shootout, although his brother Virgil was the Tombstone City and Deputy U.S. Marshal that day and had far more experience in combat as a sheriff, constable, marshal, and soldier. In 1874 Earp arrived in the boomtown of Wichita, Kansas, where his reputed wife opened a brothel. He was appointed to the Wichita police force and developed a solid reputation as a lawman but was fined and "not rehired as a police officer" after getting into a physical altercation with a political opponent of his boss. Wyatt Johnston (born May 14, 2003) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who plays for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). Johnston was selected in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Stars with the 23rd overall pick. Personal life Johnston was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 14, 2003, to Margot and Chuck Johnston. Edward Wyatt Gould (18 May 1879 – 9 February 1960) was a Welsh rugby union player who also represented Britain at the 1908 Summer Olympics. Gould captained his club side, Newport RFC, for a single season, and is best known as the younger brother of Welsh rugby superstar Arthur "Monkey" Gould Sporting career Rugby Gould came from a notable sporting family from Newport in South Wales, his father, Joseph Gould, was a keen sportsman and played cricket for the local team. Wyatt George Gibson (28 July 1790 – 1862) was a British banker. Early life He was born on 28 July 1790, the son of Atkinson Francis Gibson and Elizabeth Wyatt. Career He ran the Saffron Walden and North Essex Bank, which in 1906 became part of Barclays Bank. Personal life On 25 Sept 1817, he married Deborah Stacey, daughter of George Stacey and Mary, in Tottenham, London. Their son George Stacey Gibson (1818–1883), was a banker, botanist and philanthropist. Legacy On his death in 1862, he left £5,000 to build a hospital in Saffron Walden. It was built on London Road and the architect was William Beck (architect), William Beck, and it opened in September 1866. His son George Stacey Gibson was elected treasurer.
