Wutthakat Station
Wutthakat BTS station ( th, สถานีวุฒากาศ, ) is a BTS skytrain station, on the Silom Line at Thon Buri and Chom Thong District boundary, Bangkok, Thailand. The station is located on Ratchaphruek Road over Dan canal. It is surrounded by residences, small shops and office towers. The station opened on 5 December 2013. BTS (), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 and debuting in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. Thon Buri District
Thon Buri ( th, ธนบุรี, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. On the west bank of Chao Phraya River, it was once part of Thon Buri province. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Bangkok Yai, Phra Nakhon (across Chao Phraya River), Khlong San, Bang Kho Laem (across Chao Phraya), Rat Burana, Chom Thong, and Phasi Charoen. History In addition to the native inhabitants, the district was settled relatively early by foreigners, first Chinese merchants, then the Portuguese after the fall of Ayutthaya to the Burmese in 1767. Chom Thong District, Bangkok
Chom Thong ( th, จอมทอง, ) is one of the 50 districts (''khet'') of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by the districts (clockwise from north) Phasi Charoen, Thon Buri, Rat Burana, Thung Khru, Bang Khun Thian, and Bang Bon. History Chom Thong was part of Bang Khun Thien District until an announcement on 9 November 1989. On 14 October 1997, parts of Bang Pakok sub-district of Rat Burana and parts of Bukkhalo Sub-district of Thon Buri were transferred to Chom Thong during the administrative reform which rearranged the 38 Bangkok districts into 50 districts. SRT Dark Red Line
The SRT Dark Red Line, or Thani Ratthaya Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง สายธานีรัถยา) is part of the SRT Red Line suburban railway system to serve the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 26 km between Bang Sue Grand Station and Rangsit. When fully completed, the line will run on a north–south axis through Bangkok, from Thammasat University's Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani Province to Maha Chai in Samut Sakhon Province for a full length of nearly 87 km. Construction started in 2013 and was originally due to be completed within 3 years by the end of 2016. However, the project experienced numerous delays.
