Wremja
''Wremja'' was an Estonian situational comedy showing the lives of lower class people. It featured campy humor, intentionally, so as to keep the budget low. Wremja was preceded by the '' Wigla Show'' featuring a similar style, and the name was later changed to "Sipelga 14", as a reference to the Estonian soap opera "Õnne 13". Characters Uuno Nisu (Nisu-Unn) ( Dan Põldroos) is an alcoholic World War II veteran who fought for Germany and burned Hitler's corpse while drunk in 1945. Has a trademark red coat and ugly moustache. He will drink anything with alcohol in it, including cologne and perfume. Zorro (Jaan Zorro) (Jan Uuspõld) is Uuno's roommate (after kicking out Uno's family). He is a devoted communist who worked as a torturer, spy and astronaut for the Soviet government. Jan Uuspõld
Jan Uuspõld (born 14 December 1973) is an Estonian stage, television, radio and film actor and musician. Early life and music career Jan Uuspõld was born in Tallinn, the eldest of three sons of Ingar and Heidi Uuspõld. His mother is an accountant and his father was a long-distance truck driver. He was raised mostly in Hiiu, Nõmme and attended schools in Keila and Tallinn. In middle school was enrolled in music class and sang in a school choir. He graduated from Tallinn's 1st Industrial High School in 1991 where he trained as an offset printer. As a teenager, he wished to become a musician. Influenced in part by the Estonian punk rock band J.M.K.E., he formed a punk band called Trakulla at age fifteen with several classmates and younger brother Andrus after his mother gave him money to buy a guitar. Dan Põldroos
Dan Põldroos (6 March 1970 – 5 May 2007) was an Estonian stage, television and film actor who began performing on stage at age fifteen. Although mostly known for comedic roles, he was also an accomplished dramatic actor. Põldroos' career ended at age thirty-seven when he died unexpectedly. Early life and education Dan Põldroos was born in Tallinn. He was an only child from his parents' marriage, though he had a half-sibling and a step-sibling. Martin Müürsepp (; born 26 September 1974) is an Estonian professional basketball coach and former player, who is the head coach of BC Rakvere Tarvas of the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League. Eino Baskin
Eino Baskin (17 June 1929 – 11 March 2015) was an Estonian actor and theatre director. Baskin was born in Tallinn to Jewish parents Hirsch and Maria Baskin (née Raage). In 1951 he graduated from before becoming engaged at the Estonian Drama Theatre. In 1980 he established Vanalinnastuudio and for a long time he was its director. When Vanalinnastuudio was closed, he established Old Baskin's Theater. Personal life In 1954, he married actress Ita Ever. Their son was actor and director Roman Baskin. The couple later divorced. He married his second wife, Galina Dõrdina 1961, with whom he had a daughter who died in infancy. The couple remained married for 38 years, until Dõrdina's death in 1999. In 2000, he married Veera Toll. The couple remained married until Baskin's death in Tallinn in 2015. Haabersti (german: Habers) is one of the 8 administrative districts ( et, linnaosa) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
