Worlds Apart (band)
Worlds Apart are an English multinational boy band of the 1990s, with a changing line-up that variously included Marcus Patrick (billed as Patric Osborne) in the original (five-piece) group and, from 1994, Brother Beyond's Nathan Moore. After scoring a few hits in the United Kingdom, the band re-emerged as a four-piece and became chart stars in France. Currently a trio, Steve Hart is its only original and continuous member. History Worlds Apart released their first album in the UK and after a number of concert tours and regular television appearances, the band became hugely popular in Europe, where they signed a record deal with EMI. Steve Hart became lead singer and songwriter for the band. After winning Best Newcomers at the prestigious Bravo Supershow, Worlds Apart quickly became the biggest boyband in France and were regularly supported by the Backstreet Boys and NSync. "I Was Born to Love You" is a 1985 song by Freddie Mercury that was released as a single from his first solo album, '' Mr. Bad Guy''. After Mercury's death, Queen re-worked this song for their album ''Made in Heaven'' in 1995, by having the other members play their instrumental parts over the original track, transforming the song from disco to rock. The Queen version from the ''Made in Heaven'' album also includes snippets of Mercury's ad-lib vocals taken from " A Kind of Magic" and from "Living on My Own". The song received its live debut on the 2005 tour of Japan, given by Queen + Paul Rodgers. Brian May and Roger Taylor performed the song acoustically. "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" is a 1972 song recorded by the American R&B vocal group The Spinners (known as "Detroit Spinners" in the UK). It was co-written by Melvin and Mervin Steals, two songwriter brothers working for Atlantic, who were sometimes credited as "Mystro and Lyric." It was produced by Thom Bell, recorded at Philadelphia's Sigma Sound Studios and the house band MFSB provided the backing. Bobby Smith sings lead through most of the song while Philippé Wynne handles vocal duties on the outro. "Everlasting Love" is a song written by Buzz Cason and Mac Gayden, originally a 1967 hit for Robert Knight and since remade numerous times, most successfully by Love Affair, as well as Town Criers, Carl Carlton, Sandra Cretu, and Gloria Estefan. The original version of "Everlasting Love" was recorded by Knight in Nashville, with Cason and Gayden aiming to produce it in a Motown style reminiscent of the Four Tops and the Temptations. When released as a single, the song reached No. 13 on the US chart in 1967.
