World Surfing Championships
The ISA World Surfing Games, formerly known as the ISA World Surfing Championships, are organized by world governing body of surfing, the International Surfing Association (ISA), which is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Editions The event was known as the ISF World Surfing Championships between 1964 and 1972. After that, a World Pro--Am Surfing Championship was created that favored a world circuit of events (which is now the World Surf League. Chiba (city)
is the capital city of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It sits about east of the centre of Tokyo on Tokyo Bay. The city became a government-designated city in 1992. Popoyo is a small beach town in the Tola municipality of the Rivas Department of Nicaragua. The 1992 Nicaraguan tsunami On September 2, 1992, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake off the central coast of Nicaragua generated a tsunami that devastated Popoyo and many other communities on the Pacific coast. At least 116 people were killed, more than 68 missing and over 13,500 left homeless in Nicaragua. At least 1,300 houses and 185 fishing boats were destroyed along the west coast of Nicaragua. Punta Negra District
The peruvian district of Punta Negra is one of the 43 districts of the Province of Lima. It borders the district of Punta Hermosa to the north, the Province of Huarochirí to the east, the district of San Bartolo to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. History In precolombian times, the area of the current district was inhabited by coastal fishermen of the Yungas people, and was under the hegemony of the rulers of Pachacamac, and later the Incas. Post-conquest, the area was known as Tropezon, until passage of the Law Nº 12096 created the modern district of Punta Negra on 7 April 1954. Pedasí, Los Santos
Pedasí () is a town and corregimiento situated on the south-eastern tip of the Azuero Peninsula on Panama’s Pacific coast. It is the capital of Pedasí District in Los Santos Province. Its population as of 1990 was 1,494; its population as of 2000 was 1,830. It had a population of 2,410 as of 2010. As of 1 July 2020 the population had grown to 4696. Ipojuca is a municipality in Pernambuco in eastern Brazil. As of 2020 the population according to IBGE was 97,669 and the per capita income (2007) was R$76.418 (more than $23,000 US dollars) making it one of the country's highest.
