World RX Of Belgium
The World RX of Belgium was a Rallycross event held in Belgium for the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event made its debut in the 2014 season, at the Circuit Jules Tacheny Mettet in the town of Mettet, Wallonia. From the 2019 season, the event will beheld at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and has been renamed the Spa World RX of Benelux. Reinis Nitišs
Reinis Nitišs (born 16 December 1995) is a rallycross driver from Jēkabpils, Latvia. He is the winner of the Super1600 division in the European Rallycross Championship in 2013 and is the youngest event winner in FIA World Rallycross Championship history. Biography Early career Nitišs started racing go-karts at the age of seven and was quickly successful having won multiple Latvian national titles and the Baltic series by 13. He moved into rallycross and dominated the Baltic and NEZ championships before moving into the European Super1600 category in 2012. The 2013 season brought about a very successful period in which he won 6 out of 9 events on his way to the title. Sébastien Loeb
Sébastien Loeb (; born 26 February 1974) is a French professional rally, racing and rallycross driver. He is the most successful driver in the World Rally Championship (WRC), having won the world championship a record nine times in a row. He holds several other WRC records, including most event wins, most podium finishes and most stage wins. Loeb retired from full time WRC participation at the end of 2012. He currently drives part time in the WRC for M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, full time in the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) for Bahrain Raid Xtreme, and full time in the Extreme E Championship for Team X44. Per-Gunnar "P-G" Andersson (born 10 March 1980 in Årjäng) is a Swedish rally driver. He is a two-time winner of the Junior World Rally Championship. Career Andersson was competing in Junior World Rally Championship since 2003. He became JWRC champion in 2004 during his first complete season. Piloting a Suzuki Ignis S1600, he earned three wins, a second place, an eight place, and two retirements. He scored 39 points during this year while runner-up Nicolas Bernardi, piloting Renault Clio S1600, scored only 2 fewer points. In 2005 season, Andersson continued competing in the JWRC with Suzuki Ignis S1600 and later Suzuki Swift S1600. Although he won Rally Acropolis, the rest of season wasn't that successful and, in final standings, Andersson finished sixth with 30 points. Mattias Ekström
Mattias Ekström (born 14 July 1978 in Falun, Sweden) is a racing driver from Sweden. He competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters for Audi from 2001 until his retirement in 2018, and has been competing in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, also for Audi, since its inception in 2014. He is a FIA World Rallycross Champion, a two-time DTM champion and a three-time winner of the Race of Champions. Career Ekström debuted in karting in 1993. The next years he competed at the Renault 5 Turbo Cup, winning the championship in 1996. The driver progressed to the Swedish Touring Car Championship in 1997, finishing runner-up with a Volvo 850. 2015 World RX Of Belgium
The 2015 World RX of Belgium was the 3rd round of the second season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Circuit Jules Tacheny Mettet in Mettet, Wallonia. Marklund Motorsport driver Toomas Heikkinen became the third different winner in the 2015 season, having won his semi-final as well. Second place went to defending champion, and championship leader Petter Solberg (SDRX), while the podium was completed by Reinis Nitišs, driving for the OlsbergsMSE team. In the supporting round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship, Albatec Racing driver Jérôme Grosset-Janin took the victory, to take the lead in the drivers' championship. Toomas "Topi" Heikkinen (born 27 March 1991) is a rallycross and ice-racing driver from Finland. He won the Finnish Rallycross Championship in 2010 and the Global Rallycross Championship in 2013. He currently competes in the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar category, driving for EKS racing team. Heikkinen began his racing career in karting, later moving up to single-seater formula. Petter Solberg
Petter Solberg (born 18 November 1974) is a Norwegian former professional rally and rallycross driver. Solberg debuted in the World Rally Championship in 1998 and was signed by the Ford factory team in 1999. The following year, Solberg started his successful partnership with the Subaru World Rally Team. With the Subaru works team, Solberg finished runner-up to Marcus Grönholm in 2002 and then became the first Norwegian to win the drivers' world title in 2003. In the following two seasons, he finished runner-up to Sébastien Loeb. Following Subaru's withdrawal from the WRC at the end of the 2008 season, Solberg secured private backing to start the Petter Solberg World Rally Team and competed with a Citroën Xsara WRC, a Citroën C4 WRC and a Citroën DS3 WRC.
