World Industries
World Industries is a skateboarding company that offers skateboarding products, accessories and clothing. The company was founded by Steve Rocco in 1987. In 1988, Rocco was joined by skater, Rodney Mullen, and then Mike Vallely in 1989. As of 2014, World Industries operates under GVS America, a subsidiary of INA Sports Inc. & FGL Sports Ltd. The company also makes and sells Longboards. History Blind In late-1989, Mark Gonzales approached Rocco with the desire to be involved in his own company. Plan B Skateboards is a skateboarding company based in San Diego California, United States, founded by Mike Ternasky, Danny Way and Colin McKay. Anthony Shetler
Anthony Joseph Shetler (born November 15, 1982) is a professional skateboarder who, as of July 2019, is pro for World Industries and is the owner of All I Need Skateboards. Early life Shetler was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Lisa Marie Oliver and Elwood Reginald Shetler. He started skateboarding in Raymond, New Hampshire with his friend Dale Raymond. He then moved back to Massachusetts, where he would develop a deep relationship with the skateshop Solstice, who helped him get his first sponsorship with 5boro Skateboards. Dwindle Distribution, based in El Segundo, California, is an American skateboard distributor. It is a component of Transom Capital Group Limited. The company was founded by Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen. Its formation is recognized as a key event in the creation of a skateboard company owned by people actively involved in the skateboarding lifestyle. Danny Way (born April 15, 1974) is an American professional skateboarder, company owner and rallycross driver who has been awarded ''Thrasher'' magazine's "Skater of the Year" award twice. He is known for extreme stunts, such as jumping into a skateboard ramp from a helicopter; that was featured on the cover of ''Transworld Skateboarding'' magazine. Stephen Salvadore Rocco (born January 16, 1960) is an American businessperson and skateboarder. He founded the skateboarding company World Industries with Rodney Mullen in 1987. He has since sold the company and is currently retired. Career Rocco is an important figure in the early popularity of street skateboarding in the 1990s.
