''Word of Mouth'' is the twenty-first studio album by the English rock group the Kinks. "Do It Again" was released as a single from the album in 1985. Information The track "Living on a Thin Line" by Dave Davies was played three times in the 2001 episode "University" of the American TV show ''The Sopranos''. According to producer Terence Winter on the DVD extras, it is the series' most asked-about song. The song was also played in the final episode of the HBO series ''Vice Principals''. The song "Good Day" includes an allusion to the death of actress Diana Dors. The song " Do It Again" was featured in the film ''Click'' (released in 2006), and in trailers that were promoting the film. Jim Rodford
James Walter Rodford (7 July 1941 – 20 January 2018) was an English musician, who played bass for several British rock bands. He was a founding member of Argent, which was led by his cousin Rod Argent, and performed with them from their formation in 1969 until they disbanded in 1976. He was the bassist for the Kinks from 1978 until they disbanded in 1997. In 2004, he joined the reunited Zombies, whom he had been closely associated with since the early 1960s, and remained a member until his death in 2018. He was also a member of the Swinging Blue Jeans and the Kast Off Kinks. Early years Rodford was born on 7 July 1941, in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. In the late 1950s and early 1960s he was a member of the Bluetones, the biggest band in St Albans at the time. ''Return to Waterloo'' is the debut solo album by Kinks' leader and chief songwriter Ray Davies. Three of the tracks on the album release were also available in near-identical form on The Kinks' 1984 release ''Word of Mouth''. All of The Kinks appear on the album with the exception of Dave Davies. According to Ray Davies, Dave Davies refused to perform on the album. He later said, "Dave refused to play and so it had to be 'Ray Davies and members of the Kinks'. If he had worked with me on it, it would have been a ''great'' record, but he let me down." An hour-long musical film, '' Return to Waterloo'', was also written and directed by Davies, wherein instead of dialogue, the story is told through music and lyrics. The Tour de France () is an annual men's multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally passing through nearby countries. Diana Dors (born Diana Mary Fluck; 23 October 19314 May 1984) was an English actress and singer. Terence Patrick Winter (born October 2, 1960) is an American writer and producer of television and film.
