Woolsbridge
Woolsbridge is a village in Dorset, England. Woolsbridge was formerly under the control of the Earl of Normanton and is a part of the civil parish of Cranbourne. It is located near the New Forest. History Woolsbridge was previously the terminus point of the A31 road which was widened in 1762 by an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain. Since the A31 was extended in later years, the terminus is now a roundabout. Woolsbridge is located near the village of Three Legged Cross. The village is within a green belt. It has an industrial estate near it which serves both Woolsbridge and Three Legged Cross. In 2017, it had a new road built through it to facilitate access. Earl Of Normanton
Earl of Normanton is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1806 for Charles Agar, 1st Viscount Somerton, Archbishop of Dublin. He had already been created Baron Somerton, of Somerton in the County of Kilkenny, in 1795 and Viscount Somerton, of Somerton in the County of Kilkenny, in 1800, also in the Peerage of Ireland. Lord Normanton sat in the House of Lords from 1800 to 1809 as one of the 28 original Irish Representative Peers. His grandson, the third Earl, represented Wilton in Parliament from 1841 to 1852. A31 Road
The A31 is a major trunk road in southern England that runs from Guildford in Surrey to Bere Regis in Dorset. East Dorset District Council
East Dorset was a local government district in Dorset, England. Its council met in Wimborne Minster between 2016 and 2019. The district (as Wimborne) was formed on 1 April 1974 by merging Wimborne Minster Urban District with Wimborne and Cranborne Rural District, plus the parish of St Leonards and St Ives transferred from the Ringwood and Fordingbridge Rural District in Hampshire. The district was renamed East Dorset with effect from 1 January 1988. The district was abolished in 2019 at the same time that Dorset County Council and the other districts in the county were abolished, with the area becoming part of the Dorset unitary authority on 1 April 2019. Dorset County Council (DCC) was the county council for the county of Dorset in England.
