Woodrow is an English given name which was originally an English surname which may originally derive from a toponym meaning "row of houses by a wood" in Old English. Hedge
A hedge or hedgerow is a line of closely spaced shrubs and sometimes trees, planted and trained to form a barrier or to mark the boundary of an area, such as between neighbouring properties. Hedges that are used to separate a road from adjoining fields or one field from another, and are of sufficient age to incorporate larger trees, are known as hedgerows. Often they serve as windbreaks to improve conditions for the adjacent crops, as in bocage country. When clipped and maintained, hedges are also a simple form of topiary. Woodrow Wilson Mann
Woodrow Wilson Mann (November 13, 1916 – August 6, 2002) was an American politician who was the mayor of the capital city of Little Rock, Arkansas, from 1956 to 1957. Biography A Little Rock native, Mann attended the University of Illinois and fought in World War II with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a member of the staff of Admiral Chester Nimitz. Upon his return to the United States, he established an insurance agency. A Democrat, Mann unseated Mayor Pratt C. Remmel, a two-term Republican, in the 1955 municipal election and took office on January 1, 1956. The Little Rock Nine school desegregation case occurred near the end of Mann's term as mayor in 1957. Bill Woodrow (born 1 November 1948) is a British sculptor. Early years and education Bill Woodrow was born on 1 November 1948 near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. He received his education at the Winchester College of Art (1967–1968), the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London (1968–1971), and the Chelsea School of Art (1971–1972).. Wayne Woodrow Hayes (February 14, 1913 – March 12, 1987) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at Denison University (1946–1948), Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (1949–1950), and Ohio State University (1951–1978), compiling a career college football record of 238 wins, 72 losses, and 10 ties. Woodrow Swancutt
Woodrow Paul Swancutt (July 4, 1915 – March 21, 1993) was a major general in the United States Air Force. Biography Swancutt was born on July 4, 1915, in Edgar, Wisconsin. He graduated from La Crosse Central High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1933 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a member of the Wisconsin Badgers boxing team and was a national champion in 1939 and 1940. Swancutt married Kathleen Haza. They had three children and eventually divorced. As a civilian he served as vice president of Executive Jet Aviation. Woodrow Stanley (June 12, 1950 – February 15, 2022) was an American Democratic Party politician. He was mayor of Flint, Michigan from 1991 until his recall in 2002, and was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from District 34 from 2009 to 2014.
