Wong Wei Long
Wong Wei Long (, born 18 August 1988 in Singapore) is a Singaporean professional basketball player. With his ability to knockdown the three ball at a high percentage, he has earned the nicknames of the Long-ranger and the Singapore Assassin. ABL career In 2008, Wei Long had a brief stint with the Singapore Slingers while the team was competing in the 2008/09 Singapore Challenge Series. On August 2009, Wei Long signed a one-year contract to play for the Singapore Slingers along with 7 other local players. He scored a season high of 14 points, including 4 3-pointers against the Brunei Barracudas on 18 October 2009, the opening night of the inaugural ASEAN Basketball League. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. 2012 ABL Season
The 2012 ASEAN Basketball League season was the third season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of eight teams will compete the league. The regular season will begin on 16 January 2012 and will end on 13 May 2012. Three teams will debut this season: the Bangkok Cobras, the San Miguel Beermen and the SSA Saigon Heat, while the Brunei Barracudas team took a leave of absence. The 2018–19 ABL season was the ninth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season started on 16 November 2018 and ended on 28 March 2019. Teams All the teams in 2017–18 season returned for this season. However, the following changes happened: # Chong Son Kung Fu relocated and rebranded to Macau Black Bears. # Zhuhai Wolf Warriors was the 10th team in the ABL, added after Kung Fu relocated to Macau. The 2017–18 ABL season is the eighth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season started on 17 November 2017 and ended on 28 March 2018. Teams Five teams from the 2016–2017 ABL season returned for this season. One team, the Kaohsiung Truth, disbanded prior to the season. One team, Mono Vampire, returned after skipping last season, having played in the 2015–16 ABL season. The team plans to concurrently play in the ABL and in the Thailand Basketball League for the upcoming season. Three teams were accepted as new members: Nanhai Long-Lions, Formosa Dreamers and CLS Knights Surabaya. The Long-Lions are the developmental team of the Guangzhou Long-Lions, the Dreamers are an expansion team from Taiwan, and the Knights left the Indonesian Basketball League to play in the ABL. Kaohsiung Truth
The Kaohsiung Truth were a professional basketball team based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The Truth played one season in the ASEAN Basketball League. History Kaohsiung Truth was founded in 2016 as the first professional basketball team to play in Kaohsiung City. They were officially announced as a member of the ASEAN Basketball League on July 17, 2016. The Truth are the league's first Christian ministry team. They played in the 2016-17 season but was disbanded after the end of the season. The Formosa Dreamers replaced them as the sole Taiwanese team in the ABL in the 2017-18 season. Wei Jie Desmond Oh (born 16 June 1986) is a Singaporean basketball player who plays for the Singapore Slingers of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He is known in the ABL for being one of the league's best lock-down perimeter defender and his ability to hit the three ball. With his pesky defense, he is better known as "D-glove" on the court. Shengyu Lim
Lim Shengyu (born 7 December 1990) is a Singaporean professional basketball player who plays forward, most recently for the Singapore Slingers in the Asean Basketball League (ABL). After winning the Most Valuable Player Award in both his two years playing for Hwa Chong Institution, Shengyu was selected as one of three Singaporean players to attend the Adidas Nations basketball camp in Shanghai and represent Singapore to participate in the NBA Without Borders Camp in New Delhi in 2008. Lim also spent 10 years in the Singapore National Basketball (Senior) team, winning 2 bronze medals for his country in both the 2013 and 2015 editions of the Southeast Asian Games.
